The Edge Fitness Clubs

Do NOT go to this gym. They make you sign a contract for a year, which is fine I knew the contract I was getting into. But after a year, I did not want to renew my membership because this gym just wasn’t the right fit for me, but its been the BIGGEST hassle for me to cancel. They literally make it IMPOSSIBLE. Not only do they raise up the membership fee after your year contract, they make you jump through hoop after hoop just to get out of the contract. I finally got an email that my membership is being cancelled but that I still have to pay at the end of this month (november) even though I cancelled end of October. ITS INSANE!! Im not even going there and I cancelled, why am I being charged another month? Clearly this gym has one intention, and its money.. so pathetic.

This is my first gym membership ever so I was pretty nervous going in. Jenna signed me and my friend up and was so courteous and helpful! She truly made us feel welcome and gave us a full tour and even came to check on us during our workout. The facility is really clean and I love the theater!

Joined in May of 2022 for the personal training and continued with the PT until August and had 3 different trainers. Where is the consistency? Also I moved in November to Clinton Township and was told over the phone that I could transfer my pass but to do so I would have to come in person to sign. Came in person and waited 20 minutes to be told I'm stuck in contract for a gym that I won't be able to go to. Even made sure the rates for the Hall Rd location were the same. Not impressed and will not be a returning customer. Life happens which I would hope y'all would understand and now I'm out $90 for literally nothing.

I was one of the founding members of this gym. Pre-covid it was amazing. Very clean! You can actually see and feel how clean the womens bathroom was, even the womens room-the machines, mirrors and floors. Even though I feel like after covid and after everything opening up, it’s not the same. The cleanliness could be improved. But the trainers and staff are awesome. They are all new compared to the beginning opening days. But love that when I walk in, front desk is always greeting me (and whoever else walks in) and when leaving, always greeted then too. I’m currently doing the 8 week challenge and love it! I can see a huge diff in my body definition and strength. Thanks Edge!!!***my name is not Amanda lol!***

I love this gym! Really nice body positivity atmosphere and Travis especially was extra nice to me whenever I was there whether it be alone or with friends! Everyone I know has a membership here, it’s a great gym!

So to start off the hours of operation are not what I originally signed up and paid for. I understand it’s because of the pandemic blah blah blah but now it’s time for the hours to go back to what they started with or give us a credit for shortening the hours. Also the massage chair does not work and the saunas are closed while other gyms have them open.

I used to like working out at this place prior to covid but lately it is getting very crowded and packed. Keeping the proper distance due Covid isn’t even a discussion to how many people are in the club. They would not even let me freeze my membership until this is more manageable, claiming that they won’t be making money if they freeze people’s accounts Till this is manageable. They care about the money more than following the capacity guidelines 🤷🏼‍♀️

This is the worst gym you could ever join. You need a medical note to cancel a membership? And will not do anything to help you at all. The woman manager at Sterling Heights is the worst manager I’ve ever met. She didn’t want to help at all at canceling but she decided to try and yell at the people in the background because they have an opinion. If you ever sign up for this club you are very unintelligent as they are the worst club ever and literally do not care about their guests.

People wear different masks cloth,face shields and other varieties corporate and other edge fitness locations have agreed that the type of transparent mask I wear is acceptable. This location has many employees that have not said anything about the mask I wear yet Laura seems to think differently my nose and mouth are covered what's the issue. I wear this mask at other gym locations Golds gym and planet fitness no issues . I wore this mask for a whole 2 weeks and now there's in issue . Laura wise up and keep it moving it's not an issue unless u want to make it an issue grow up!!

Amazingly large amount of equipment. Very easy to get your workout done even when busy.HUGE DOWNSIDE: most days there seems to be absolutely no one organizing plates. You will likely have to go to multiple benches to assemble the plates you need for your workout. This has been the case without fail regardless of time of day.
