Been going to 24hr for years and was skeptical about this one after reading the reviews. The staff was super nice and it was very clean. They also have some newer machines now which was pretty cool. This has the same layout as two other …

I have been going to this place since 1998. The old Q club. Its a long drive for me since I live in Missouri City. I tried the LA Fitness but, the hours didn't work for me. I am one of the early guys there. And have been all along. Now: There are issues with the gym. They should have outside cameras and more lighting. That might help the security. However, it is nice for the price. And what make it is the Night Manager This guy is fantastic. What a happy guy, he has a saying for each day. I believe he knows everyone by name. He always has the place clean and orderly each night. Every weight is in its place. This is what makes it!!!!!I totally recommend this club!

Edit 5/30/2020. This location looks permanently closed due to their lockout notice and the fact that 24 Hour Fitness is filing for bankruptcy. They just renovated many areas of the gym including the bathroom, showers, sauna and also created an entirely new area downstairs for floor exercises. It was a much needed improvement. I agree that many other areas could and should be next on their update. Though the reviews are a bit extreme: it is not a dump. They have the latest group exercise formats and many times to choose from to attend. It has the largest pool out of most 24 Hour gyms. Sal at the front desk always welcomes guests in the night with the warmest and sweetest manner. It may not be as amazing as a Lifetime in terms of facilities, but it is much more affordable and has a very convenient location. I have been a member for 15+ years and unless I move will continue being one.

This 24 is a nice gym with a good layout. There is plenty of equipment to go around. The cardio area and group RX room are nice and big. The turf area and racks downstairs are great! However, that's where the praise ends. Unfortunately, it is not well maintained or cleaned. The weights area upstairs is a mess, weight/dumbbells are never organized and there are few 5lbs weight to be found. Some barbells are even rusting. There is a layer of dust on the fans and a spider web that's been in a corner for over a year. This gym is in DIRE need of a deep cleaning. There is dust everywhere. The locker rooms are very 90s, mauve and teal tile, hair on the floors too. A deep cleaning, some repairs, and a few updates would do well for this gym. I hope it improves.

Unfortunately for one of my once favorite locations, I would now give it no stars if I could. I’ve been a 24 hour member on and off over the last 10 years at various locations. I love this company, and I have loved each location that I’ve joined. I first initiated my membership at this location in 2012, and it had long remained my favorite gym as I moved around the country. I recently made it back to Houston in January of this year after a few years away and could not wait to activate my membership again—however, management has changed, and I will most definitely never be stepping foot into this location again. Management is lazy, does not offer resolution to concerns—not to mention the overall morale seems to be pretty low. Outdated equipment as well. It’s not worth what you pay in membership fees. Really bummed about the current climate at this location seeing as awesome it had been for the couple of years I spent as a member prior to this current year. Would not recommend this location to anyone. GM is awful and the team is sadly a reflection of that. Uncomfortable place to work out.Lots of other great places to workout in the area. Lifetime Sugar Land is hugely preferred by my friends and family, and I can’t wait to check it out. Hope this helps!

I’ve been a member here since some time in the early to mid 1990’s. The staff that interacts with the customers are all very friendly and professional, however, I don’t think they are empowered or trained by the corporate headquarters to deal with most of the problems in the club. I even watch the cleaning people in the early morning as they empty the regular trash cans and the recycle trash cans into the same receptacle. Why even bother to have recycle trash cans? The last couple of years the club has deteriorated fairly rapidly. If it wasn’t less than a mile from my house I would have left by now. The building has numerous leaks when it rains (roof AND windows), many machines are broken and sometimes it takes months to repair them. The club is frequently uncomfortably hot (I’m told that the corporate office in California controls the local thermostat here). Many of the smaller dumb bells (20 lbs and less) have disappeared (presumably stolen) and have not been replaced. And I understand that members should be returning their weights to their proper place after using, but often they do not, and the club should have staff members straighten up occasionally. Furthermore, most and sometimes all of the lights in the parking lot do not work. This is unsafe for people who park to come to the club during the dark hours of the day.

I haven't worked out at this gym in over 6 years. But what I do remember from that time is this place was clean, cool, and the pool and gym equipment was always working. I finally decided to go get a gym membership yesterday. Today I took my sister-n-law and I was shocked at how utterly hot and humid it was upstairs where the treadmills are located. It was so hot that the place reeked of sweaty bodies that almost made us sick, it was that bad. Several fans were not working either, and they had 3 treadmills that were not functional. My sister-n-law went down stairs to swim in the pool and the pool was out of order. What happened to this place?! I did speak to Carla who said she was the general manager to complain about the ungodly heat upstairs and she said they were working on it. My sister-n-law had claimed she had come to swim in the pool a number of weeks back and the pool wasn't working then either. At almost 40.00 bucks a month and paying that 2x at sign up, plus an expensive initiation fee, and an annual fee they charge I would have expected this place to be in tip top shape. I am so disappointed. If I go back to work out there tomorrow and this continues I will just cancel my membership and find a different gym. Really sad to this place has gone downhill. Edit 5-17-19: I am trying to cancel today. I am told only Wayne the general manager can do this for me, that no other employee can. Wayne is in his office but is in a meeting and they don't know when he will be done. I came last Monday and last Tuesday asking to speak to him or another manager and was told the same thing, that he is in a meeting and they don't know when he will be available. I called corporate to complain and they said it will take 4 to 5 business days for Wayne to respond. I was told if after that time things are not resolved they would escalate it to the district manager. I am on a month to month and was told I had to personally come in to the gym to cancel my membership, but it seems the manager hides from the members. Guess I will have to send an official letter and cancel my credit card and get a replacement. I am so dissatisfied and disappointed in the way this gym is run and how they treat their members. What a waste of good money.

This place is dirty and staff are not friendly most of the time. The weights are not hang up most of the time. The restroom is nasty, and showers don't have soap most of the time. If you need to work out and this place is last resort then …

I actually liked the availability of the equipment in the gym. I would say a gym is just nice in general you have to mostly focused on just you in the gym though. That’s the main idea in my opinion. It’s a bit pricey like all gyms which …
