It's serviceable. It's not the cleanest gym, or the dirtiest. Most of the members respect the facility which is nice. The equipment shows its age (old, rusty, and cosmetically gross) and most of the cardio is in some form of disrepair. At least 3 step mills are broken at any given time, and the same goes for treadmills. And if they work, the incline might not, or the headphone jack won't function. They don't offer wi-fi, and half of their tv's play ads for the gym rather than programming you'd care to actually see. The catch is that the gym is cheap, so you get what you pay for.

I've been working out at this gym for almost 5 years. The price is right and I like having access to all 24 Hour Fitness locations when I travel. That said, this is the a gym Rocky Balboa would have been comfortable at. It's very dirty with old, poorly maintained machines and largely indifferent staff. Response to the curling machine that has been broken for 3 months: "Management doesn't tell us anything." Response to complaints about gym patrons who violate gym rules (e.g., sitting on a machine for 20+ minutes and not allowing other patrons to work-in), "Oh, he'll get off eventually." Response to request to better inflate bosu balls, "yeah, we'll get around to it" (and they don't for days). Response to brown and green mold on water fountain spigot, "Nothing we can do about that." If it wasn't for their network around the US, I'd work out elsewhere.

I really like that they have remodeled the 24 Hour Fitness in Camarillo. It looks very nice. It makes it a little bit more enjoyable to go to the gym when the place looks clean and nice. Now if everyone could just get off their phones and actually work out that would be great. If you're going to text please at least leave the weights available for other people who are actually trying to work out to use them.

Very disappointed. This was my favorite gym when I lived in Thousand Oaks 10+ years ago. Decided to come on by for a 3 day guest pass as I'm home for the summer and looking for a short term membership, which is something I've done during summer break during my college years. Management refused to give me a guest pass, repeatedly stating something about my account "already being in the system," rather than giving me an explanation for this reasoning. Pretty rude, I've been to many gyms with loads of helpful and accommodating staff this kind of customer service at 24 is what loses me as a customer indefinitely. Such a bummer, had such good experiences here in the past.

Terrible. Dark, unmaintained. Seriously expected more for the area it's located in.
