I workout every mornings , I’m always greeted by the morning crew reina , Tim and roxanna. They’re all nice and helpful reina and Tim are always cleaning and Rox has great customer service . They should be getting raise or some type of recognition . Also it would be great if this gym adds a hipthrust machine I know Antioch has one .

I come to the gym every morning at 5am Monday - fridays the weight room is always spotless I always see Reina cleaning the weights from bottom to top!! On Fridays Roxanna is very joyful and always greets me with a smile and is very helpful when setting me up with in shape rewards. Tim is also very joyful he is always on point with cleaning the men’s restroom. They should be getting a raise !!! Or some sort of recognition !!! #LoveMorningCrew

I have been a member for over 5 years now. I primarily joined for using the tennis court facilities. But, they are in a very bad shape with one or more of the lights in every court not working except 2. Even the ones that work aren’t bright enough. I have complained through the front desk and other means for months now and it seems to be falling on deaf ears. I see the prices increased, hear more members joining both to use the tennis and other facilities. Yet, I keep getting embarrassing reminders if I would recommend it to others. Why would I?

I love the weekday morning crew! Troy is amazing and a joy to see each morning, Roxanne was the first staff member to help me out, super helpful and Reina is so kind and keeps the facility clean and the entire gym a comfortable place. Thanks to them all from .#lovethe4amcrewI also forgot to mention Tim. I reall enjoy seeing him each morning and he is always in a positive mood, it might be his retirement job, but he doesn’t treat it or us as such .

Great gym, staff is universally happy. Laid out, as if they randomly expanded over the decades, but that creates a lot of nooks and crannies to break up exercise routine.

Front staffs are friendly. I hope the management will start to assess and evaluate this gym. Smells bad, poor ventilation, floor is always dirty with used paper towels laying around , plates, dumbbells and bars scattered on the floor left by, i guess lazy members, bathroom and toilets are dirty as well. Mirrors are dirty, you can see spots of dried liquid unwiped. I suggest you hire or assign someone who can go around and manage the hygiene of the whole gym area. There is enough equipment in this gym but the area is not that big and it feels even smaller and congested because of the layout ( too many walls), and it affects the air circulation and ventilation. Given the current price of the membership, im sure the business can easily address these concerns and create a better, safer, more fun and conducive place for “everyone” to train.

The gym is going through renovation I guess but taking forever. There is definitely a bad funky smell in some parts of the gym that is nauseous. The weight room is tiny and cramped with poor ventilation. It is winter but does get stuffy and hot still. Some weights are slightly chipped/cracked not balancing out what's needed to lift. Barely anyone wears a mask or wipe down machine so you see people just coughing while on it and just walk away. The parking lot floods in some area so it's hard to go when it's crowded. As a resort type gym, I expect much more care, service and cleanliness in general. Miss the 11th street basic gym.

This place is a dump and run down.leaking everywhere, smells, old floor plan. Tracy demographic has changed over the last decade but this gym has not. Needs a complete tear down and rebuild. Open floor plan bigger locker rooms, showers, steam room and sauna that can fit more than 4 people. Something like equinox, bay club, lifetime fitness. Members are willing to pay more for a better gym. Instead we are going elsewhere to experience a better experience.

My husband and I have both complained about the cleanliness of In-shape before and not much has been done. Now they've raised our prices again and the sauna hasn't been working for the last 3 weeks, it's been flooding inside and they haven't fixed anything. We were told they're raising prices to make upgrades to the gym. We pay an annual fee to help with the up keep of the gym. Nothing is being done. We have no new equipment, showers/sauna and other machines are frequently down, specifically the sauna. Very disappointing. In-shape is not a cheap membership either. Not sure what corporate is doing but they're definitely failing the city of Tracy and the In-shape patrons. -- Originally posted this on yelp also but being that the first two times I've done that, not much has changed. So, I'm hoping posting on Google as well will help put the word out there and maybe we'll finally see some positive changes to this gym. Huge disappointment. And if corporate will just respond with a generic response, better to just NOT. Take the few minutes of responding to actually do something to make changes to the gym. Most of the reviews have copy/pasted responses.
