Stopped by this box to drop in... didnt care if I had to do the class or if I could do my own thing. I was greeted by a female employee who I later found out was the "head trainer." She asked how she could help me and I just asked if I could drop in. She was very quick to respond with "well, no, we normally dont do that. We need you to call before you come in to a small gym like this." As I look around there is one gentleman that is utilizing the gym and that was it. I've done crossfit for a reasonable amount of time and because I travel for work I am fortunate enough to get to try different boxes. I am also a veteran so the name definitely intrigued me. Unfortunately, the experience that I had here today did not exemplify what a typical crossfit community would represent nor would one that has "stars and stripes" in its name. Disappointing.

Best gym ever. VERY challenging but not impossible. I have lost weight while working out here, but diet is also important. It’s a fun and motivating gym. Good music too. Good accountability. Great all around!

In short, I would recommend Stars and Stripes CrossFit to anyone. My experience with SSCF was honestly phenomenal. Their trainers are kind, intelligent, passionate, and well researched in their own fields of study. As a fitness professional myself, I can truly say that I frequently look back at my experience with SSCF as foundational to my success in the wellness world. If you are a novice exerciser, new to CrossFit, or perhaps looking for a new Avenue of exercise, here you will find help from staff that is supportive, patient, and experienced. If you are an experienced exerciser, an athlete, or a CrossFit veteran, here you will find help from staff that will push you to meet your goals, drive you to success, and inspire a strong and sturdy community. At Stars and Stripes CrossFit, they have something for everyone. I would recommend SSCF to friends, colleagues, clients, and even my own grandparents. The trainers collaboratively have a wealth of knowledge that is truly tremendous and exhaustive. I was a regular member at SSCF a couple of years ago and I’d personally still be a member today if I didn’t move out of the region. Give SSCF a shot, they have a wide array of membership types and will work seamlessly with you and your schedule. Get started today - you won’t regret it!

4 months ago, I made the leap into Crossfit. I was hesitant due to the public perception of what Crossfit is and if it would be right fore me. I had been a loyal member of LA Fitness, but over the years I began to feel worse. My cardio was not where it needed to be, but I did not have the motivation to run endlessly on the treadmill. My workouts began to suffer and the 90+ minutes I spent there began to be a waste. I gained weight and began to feel worse than I expected at 30 years old. Stiffness in my hips and lower back developed which made life a bit more difficult. This all led me to sign up for one month to see what Stars and Stripes was all about. Keeping my LA Fitness membership just in case. After one month I was hooked. Each day is unlike the last, workouts are ever changing and challenging. Adam, Melissa, Joe, and John give us individual attention in small group settings. This allows them to monitor our form, motivate us, and adjust workouts to fit all fitness levels. I feel like I did in my younger years, gaining strength and conditioning that I was lacking. Cardio is much easier when it is disguised within workouts like it would be if playing sports. I have reduced my pain and stiffness since Stars and Stripes gets my body moving in different ways that doesn't include sitting on a machine or weight bench. Losing a few pounds has been the cherry on top of it all.It would be a disservice if I did not comment on the community Stars and Stripes has. Everyone is a great teammate and pushes each other through days when many of us could have easily stayed home. They run many events like in house competitions, boot camp style workouts, run clubs, barbell club, etc.My only regret is that I had not found them sooner, it has been the best decision I've made in my fitness journey. I encourage anyone to try it out and experience everything I have in my time at Stars and Stripes.

Stars and Stripes CrossFit has become my "Home away from home". The Trainers are extremely nice and VERY knowledgeable. The way I was treated not only as a newbie to CrossFit but as an adaptive athlete 2 yrs ago was VERY welcoming and their willingness to adapt the WOD's for someone in my position was unmatched. I would strongly recommend Stars and Stripes CrossFit for not only the person looking to try it but the advanced athlete as well.
