Update: We are still enjoying our membership. Our kids are taking swim lessons and are learning alot from the instructor. It's a really great program. We will enroll them for the next level once they complete their current classes. After being an active member for approximately 2 months my opinion is the same. I still highly recommend becoming a member.

Love that kids can use the pool, hate the limited open swim hours. Locker room is renovated and looks great. The pool room could use some updates. The hallway from the locker room to the pool is freezing. Definitely caters to the older crowd- could use more challenging fitness classes. Nice weight room, both free weights and machines.

We have had kids in swimming lessons for years and had the worst experience imaginable at this facility with the instructors. My 4 year daughter was allowed to go into the "open" pool zone without any supervision and could have drowned. When I brought it to Kathy the aquatics supervisor's attention and she acted like it was my daughter's fault and offered to give her one free lesson to help her overcome her fear as she was terrified of going back. I appreciated this gesture and she was very nice to my child. She promised to supervise the next class so we tried another class and the same instructor never apologized or acknowledged what my child had been through (Kathy also never showed to supervise as promised). Then at the end of the same class three kids (all preschool age) followed the crowd and got in the deep end of the pool unsupervised again. These are all non- swimmers!I have called Kathy three times without a return call.DO NOT LET YOUE CHILD LEARN HOW TO SWIM HERE. The instructors were so lazy they didn't get out of the pool to make sure the kids got out safely. And clearly the management doesn't care.

As a pool professional, I judge pools pretty tough. Their facility was very clean, good ventilation no chlorine smell around the building. Well done.We came for a birthday party and did a facility tour while we were there.Definitely would get a membership if we were a bit closer.

I have been a member here for almost 20 years. LSAC is an icon here in the neighborhood, having been at the same location for more than 50 years.Racquetball courts, and indoor and outdoor pool , outdoor tennis courts, 2 gyms a workout room, weight room and treadmill room are just some the features of this neighborhood clubLSAC has a comfortable , family feel to the club. Definitely a different vibe than an LA fitness club or Planet Fitness facilities. Knowledgeable , friendly and helpful staff have always been a hallmark of this club.Recent years have shown the age of the club. The workout machines are a bit dated. There always seems to be a roof leak or two happening during the winter rainy season. A coat of paint and a general refresh are definitely called for in a big way.All said, LSAC is a convenient club staffed by friendly helpful staff.

Pretty pricey and they have very poor billing system. This makes them a hassle to deal with. The facilities themselve are adequate.

Regular members would like to hear updates about when you plan to open. There have been no updates on your website in a month. You should be posting at least every two weeks or people will begin switching gyms. Please make sure to keep your members updated as much as possible.
