Awaken Inside, The Gym

I was in town for a business trip and stopped by Awaken Inside to get a workout in, and I was blown away. First off, the gym was filled with brand new state of the art equipment and was also incredibly clean, maybe the cleanest gym I have ever been to. There were no plates laying on the ground everywhere or in the wrong spots. I could tell a lot of care was put into keeping the gym in top condition, and was also something kept in high standards by the members. The gym owner Eric Hinz was very friendly and gave me a great tour when I arrived. I noticed that whenever members arrived, he stopped what he was doing and made sure he welcomed everyone that walked through the door. Eric was also very knowledgeable and encouraging, which makes this gym perfect for experience lifters as well as people new to training with weights, but may be intimidated by going to a normal commercial gym alone. I am looking forward to visiting again when I'm in town, and I highly recommended it to anyone living in the VA Beach area.

I really do love this gym! I’m kind of new to fitness so I had lots of questions and the owner, Eric, has always answered them happily and been compassionate and so patient! He’s always happy and confident and it physically transfers to you! He’s a great coach and trainer and very knowledgeable! All the members of the gym are super friendly and supportive no matter where they are in the journey. It’s super clean, the bathroom has feminine products, the music is fire. It’s a really great place to transform yourself inside and out! And they have a body scanner to show you your progress even if you don’t see it on the scale which is a great motivator. 10 stars ⭐️ ✨💪🏽

This gym is definitely worth checking out! The staff and atmosphere instantly makes you feel like a part of the community. The equipment is all top notch and brand new. I got a great training session with Cory Garner, who knew how to answer all of my lifting questions and gave me advice based on my goals and what I have available to me. Eric was ready to jump in with any questions about joining the gym and how to maximize my experience. Would 100% recommend making this your home gym.

Great atmosphere and awesome equipment. Love coming to this gym when I’m in town. The leg machines are no joke and the place is always spotless.

Absolutely amazing! Top tier equipment, attention to detail from the restrooms to gym floor, cleanest gym I’ve ever been to. Couldn’t ask for a better experience. Eric will make sure you are greeted and show you around the equipment. If you are near Virginia Beach, drop in for a lift!

In town visiting! So both my boyfriend and I participate in powerbuilding and originally based in Cincinnati. We needed a nice gym to continue our schedule while out of town. Found this gym on google maps and decided I should help others out too!We pulled in and the owner actually fully opened the door and greeted us in which was probably the best introduction I’ve had to any place I’ve ever been to LOLHe gave us a very nice run down of the gym which was awesome.Literally the cleanest gym I’ve ever been to. It smells amazing? Which I’ve never thought I’d be able to say.The bathrooms are superb. Never seen a gym owner be so thoughtful to their patrons. Included tampons, hair ties, etc in the bathroom (even poopurri for those pre - workout induced…)The equipment is the most intuitive that I’ve ever experienced. Every part that you wished was adjustable is adjustable in three different ways hereReally nice platforms for deadlifting, even included the chalk bowl and super nice bar clips.Just a very nice gym all around. I loved it.Eric, the owner, is also a very down to earth dude. We have so much love and support to him and this gym!

If you're a serious lifter, you'll instantly feel at home when you step into Awaken Inside. All of the equipment is new and in top condition. There are a few machines for cardio, but most of the space is dedicated to moving serious weight.The owner, Eric Hinz, is friendly without being overbearing or in your face. Though he's willing to take a moment to talk shop about lifting if you feel inclined. He'll personally show you every machine in the gym and he gave me a discount for the week even though I'm in from out of town.If I'm ever in Virginia Beach again, I'm going to Awaken Inside, no question.

Love this gym!! First off, It’s such a positive environment. Everyone is really nice and friendly which I appreciate. The equipment and gym itself are incredibly clean. This is definitely a gym I can spend hours in each session and feel very comfortable

This gym is incredible - the equipment is top of the line and there are some awesome pieces rarely seen in other gyms. The space isn’t huge, but it is well laid out and has all of the staple machines and equipment any lifter would want. The owner, Eric, is a super genuine guy and cut me a generous deal on a multi day pass since I was visiting from out of town. Will definitely come back when in VA Beach and I recommend any serious lifters check this place out when in the area!

Absolutely beautiful brand new facility where the owner carefully thought out every detail with NEW vibrant red and black equipment with coordinating decor. Each machine is next level taking an old school style and stepping up it’s game to make the machines better with adjustment capabilities that you can make to better fit YOUR body.I love the vision the owner has for the gym as well as giving back to the community. As a VB Native & active in the Fitness Community, I welcome Awaken Inside Gym to the area!!This exclusive gym will definitely be a go-to for training myself and clients!!5 stars, highly recommend!!
