I was in Waco for a week, and stopped by to train. These guys were fantastic. Lance runs a fine academy. I picked up some techniques I hope to use for life!

Some of the greatest people I’ve ever met come thru these doors every day. It’s a great place to learn a new skill and better yourself physically and mentally. Easily the best instructors in town. No egos or meathead jerks in this place a positive environment where everyone works to improve together

I've been a part of 5 MMA gyms throughout my life starting since 11th grade, and Select Jiu Jitsu will always be home for me I've decided. The men and women of this gym genuinely love mixed martial arts and teaching, and they are there for any member of the team.

I was passing through Waco cuz my friend that I was road tripping with was set on visiting that town cuz of the Chip and Joanna. I looked for a gym to stay active and I called Select Jiu Jitsu and they were extremely kind to let me drop in for a day of training. The class that day was taught by one of the brown belts. I forget his name but he's also a professor at the university. Learning from him was amazing. Kind of reminded me of Danaher style of teaching. Super calm, cerebral, and philosophical. I wish I had the time to take more classes but I was only in Waco for 1 day. Thank you for your professional service and the great mat time!

I typically train in colorado but I had a week of work training close to this gym. They have been kind enough to let me drop in on their training sessions. Everyone was welcoming and polite. The instruction is top notch, if I were local this would be my gym of choice as it reflects the respect, spirit, techinical aspect, and comrade that is BJJ.Thanks Lance!OSS!

The instruction as this place, as well as the community, is top notch. Having trained at a few other gyms in the United States, I was very impressed. By far the best gym I've trained at.

I don't usually do reviews unless I feel they really are warranted. This is by far the best place to train in the Waco area. I have had my kids in Jiu Jitsu class from Okinawa, Japan to Arcadia, California and now here in Waco. Lance does a great job with the kids and takes the time to make sure they understand the instructions. He also shows the kids how the "real world" application of Jiu Jitsu would aid the kids in a bully situation or an actual fight and not just train for "tournament points" like a lot of other places do. The Academy is very clean. They are always having fun events and special classes like the Halloween fun night and the Japanese sword class. They even have fitness and striking class that you can take. I highly recommend this training facility. P.S they have A/C. I didn't know how important that would be until I moved here to this Texas heat.

Great instruction in a super clean facility. When you train here you're like family. There isn't a better community of athletes to be involved in. Such a caring and constructive atmosphere not only for jiu jitsu but for all around fitness and friendship.

The instruction is great. The instructor and other individuals that attend class are all very helpful with helping out and answering any questions. Everyone does a really good job making sure you feel comfortable in class. The mats are very clean as well. Overall, this is a highly recommended place to train!
