Awful contracts that they refuse to let you out of

Absolute terrible gym. I have tried to cancel for about a year now and I don’t live near the area anymore and they want me to drive 5 hours to cancel. Do not go here they are scam artists

The community at this gym is so uptight and they think that they run the gym, the people who work out at this gym are just plain rude. It is also too over priced and frankly not worth the money in my opinion.

I canceled my personal trainer contract, gave a 30 day notice, and I was still charged for another 2 weeks. I've called many times to speak with the personal trainer manager and he's either not there or unavailable and has yet to return my calls

Love the machines here. Not too crowded when I visited

I gave a one star rating for multiple reasons which I will explain but one of the main factors is it is so crowded when Baylor is in session. During the summer it is fine because Baylor kids are not there but summer only lasts so long. Doesn't matter what time of day you go it is crowded. You have groups of Baylor kids (I am talking like 10-20 kids) gathering and grouping together which blocks a lot of the workout machines and areas and half the time they are just standing around talking and not even working out which is frustrating to those who are there to get their workout done and get out. Crunch has a great rate but there is a massive downside to this which is the college kids all come and join to "workout" which is actually just hang out, talk and block machines. If you see a machine that is open in their area and push through say excuse me all that and be polite they then proceed to crowd your space, steal your weights literally off of your bar or the dumbbells you are using or step on your backpack. The amount of times I had to say can you back up your butt is in my face is ridiculous. They just crowd and take over anything. At my time at crunch, I spoke with many regulars who had the same experience and it effects your gym progress because you just don't want to deal with the crowd and them and so then you stop going because their is no time where it isn't super crowded when Baylor is in session. If you state your problems of people literally crowding your space and butts in your space because of their crowd they will just tell you it's because it is a busy time. It doesn't matter when you go this is always the case. I have gone at 5am and every hour between 11pm and it is always the same situation. My other reasoning for the 1 star is cancellation. I decided to cancel my membership due to this experience messing up my progress and me hating the gym due to the experience and I moved to a whole new gym. I cancelled back in September of 2022. They let me know have to give 30 days notice and I would be charged October month and then officially cancelled after that. Well let me tell you about that one. I was charged October and November. Went up there to talk to them and they said no record of my cancellation. They proceeded to say now I am officially cancelled and didn't refund me for November and I said whatever and locked the card they had on file because even though I was yet again told I was cancelled I didn't believe them and still was not provided anything stating I was cancelled. Glad I locked the card because they proceeded to try and charge me December. I just said whatever I am not dealing with this and even talked to customer service who said I wasn't cancelled and they even still did not proceed to cancel me because they have tried to charge me for January, February, and March. LOL you will never be cancelled. So my card has been replaced and that is the only way I am able to go away from Crunch. Those are the main two points of my one star. Crowded and not enough space and then if you want to cancel good luck with that. There are a ton of other point I can give but this is already a long enough review and the other low star ratings hit those other points and more.

The staff is very friendly. Not too knowledgeable however. I do enjoy the yoga classes.

The gym itself was alright, but always super packed with people. We had 2 separate memberships and tried to cancel them, due to us moving out of the area. We tried for just short of a year to cancel. We went in person, paid the fees, sent letters, and made phone calls to cancel the memberships. We were being charged every month while being assured over and over, that our memberships were canceled (This happened to us on 2 separate occasions, in Waco and Midland). It felt as tho we were being robbed.I will not go to another Crunch again or recommend anyone else get a membership.

Fair warning, majority of everything is broken. Also you may have to bring your own water
