1/5 because the facility itself is clean and robust. good luck cancelling your membership though. I moved out of state over a year ago and despite emailing to cancel a year ago, I have been billed every month and when I brought it to their attention they claim tonot be able to find my email. So, now I have to cancel again and because of the 30 day cancellation policy, I have to pay for one more month from 1000 miles away. You’d think at an astounding $90 a month they would have had a functional sauna when I was a member or could afford to cancel memberships of clients who move away without a massive hassle. Find any other gym in the salt lake area.

Love this gym! Has everything you need and then some. Highly recommend Tyler Simper as a trainer! He single handily got me back in shape, and reignited my love for being in shape. His workouts are customized to what you are trying to achieve. His knowledge is fantastic, and he is an absolute gem of a human. Look him up you won’t be sorry!

Xcel has been my favorite gym for over 20 years, and I’ve been to most of the gyms in the Salt Lake valley. It’s very clean, great inventory of equipment and classes, never too busy, and a friendly and helpful staff. I’ve had the opportunity to work with several personal trainers and they each have something unique to offer.LADIES! If you’re pregnant, postpartum, or just looking to protect and strengthen that pelvic floor, Jenni Simper is your girl. She specializes in movements that build strength while taking your unique needs into account. Whether your focus is preventative, or you’re already on your healing journey, she’s got you covered.If you’re looking for a great mix of CrossFit and general sports performance training, hit up Tyler Simper. He’s fun, passionate, focused on continued education, and knows how to keep things interesting while reaching your fitness goals.Golfers, listen up! Jess Ekenstam specializes in movements that’ll take strokes off your game (and maybe add a few years back to your life). He also has an extensive MMA and yoga background that make for a unique and effective training experience for all levels of fitness.Bottom line…you can’t go wrong at Xcel.

Xcel Fitness is the best gym! It’s clean, well laid out, and has state-of-the-art equipment. They have excellent classes, instructors, and personal trainers. I’ve worked with Joe Fecker and appreciate his safe and efficient training approach. He is professional, very experienced, and pays attention to detail. After a break from a ski injury, he helped me get back on track with my health and fitness. Whether you are an athlete, training for an event, or a beginner, I recommend Joe- he’s awesome!

5 stars! This gym is a gem. The only problem with giving it a great review is that more people will discover it!Where should I start? First, the people. You’ll not find nicer people than those who work here, as well as those who workout here. The vibe is friendly, down to earth, fun and yet hardworking and motivating. It’s the best. Second, the classes. The classes are great & taught by experienced instructors. I have loved Jenni Simper’s TRX classes as well as her breath work and low pressure fitness trainings. She is so knowledgeable and helpful! Finally, the personal training. I can’t say enough good things about the trainings I’ve done with Tyler Simper. His enthusiasm and coaching expertise have transformed my fitness journey and helped me discover a love of weightlifting. So if you’re looking for a gym that’s friendly, full of great instructors, and has amazing trainers, Xcel is your gym!

I have been going to Jenni’s TRX class for 6 months now and it is a highlight of my week! Her circuits are strong and she can help people adapt if needed. She has great knowledge of the pelvic floor and you know that all of her moves help heal and strengthen it. Jenni is very encouraging and pushes me to become a better version of myself. We have people of all ages and stages and she makes sure everyone leaves her class challenged and tired. Grateful to get to benefit from Jenni!

Xcel is 10/10 as a gym and I’m always recommending it. The hidden gem though is Joe Fecker. Joe is hands down the best trainer I’ve ever worked with and I’m so grateful for him and this gym.For anyone dealing with injuries or looking for extra TLC and guidance at the gym, Joe is 100% your guy. I’m a former athlete and I love to move, but I also have a type of muscular dystrophy that makes that movement complicated. Joe’s knowledge of body mechanics and ability to be creative AND effective in our workouts has helped me regain range of motion, strength, and stability, all while keeping me injury-free. It really doesn’t get better than that.The point is: train with Joe, you won’t regret it. Whether it’s at CrossFit or working on holding your arm up over your head, there isn’t a better trainer (and cheerleader!) in this whole state!

I’m addicted!Jenny is hands down the most knowledgeable TRX trainer I have worked with in SLC. You choose how hard you want to workout. She offers clear instructions and options to maximize your level. I love love love the rip trainer. It has elevated my cardio and improve my movements. Highly recommend joining her classes on Saturdays 8:30 or 9:30 am. Hope to see you there!
