Beware. Management doesnt care about your experience and doesnt value their members. The facility is old and dated, pool is cracking, classes can be disrupted and no one working there cares. Waste of money.

I think I already posted this but I belong to the YMCA's in Sarasota Florida half the price some of the nicest facilities I've ever been at at any YMCA. These guys since last year I guess felt $70 a month just was not quite enough so they had to jack it up to 75 dollars I mean how much is enough?

This location is friendly and welcoming. Any time I visit there are always a selection of no cost options for members to join classes. I have tried cycling, indoor pool water aerobics, Sauna, gym equipment and always feel rejuvenated when I leave. I have been told by members I inspire them and I have shared similar sentiments with other members. It is a family friend, community uplifting YMCA. In addition, there are personal trainers and other programs with related fees to participate. I highly recommend the Western Y.

Please make sure to cancel your membership prior to the next month starting, because they “can’t” refund....even when you haven’t stepped into the facility for over 14 months due to the pandemic! Please donate so that the Y survives these tough times, we sure did!

Old and small compared to most YMCA's of today. In addition, the hours are very limited. Its obvious the target market for this gym location is the 55+ age. However, the gym does have all your basics and the outdoor pool is nice. Then indoor pool is very limited.

I like that Western Family YMCA Camp keeps kids busy, meets them where they are, and provides a positive ethical and social model. My son has attended from a very young age, and at 13 he still gets excited about going to camp. Over the years I have seen an increase in self confidence, empathy, and respect; he has built relationships with fellow campers that will last a lifetime. The counselors are excellent role models, and they authentically care about the kids and their growth. I really can’t say enough about Camp Wassaqui and recommend it to any parent who is looking for summer activities for their children!
