The studio is lovely since it has been renovated and no issues w/ hot versus cold yoga classes as they are now in separate rooms. I go for Gentle/Meditation -- mostly I love it and the teachers, but some teachers are not all that gentle.

I won a free 30 day trial with Wilmington Yoga Center and have just begun attending classes. So far the classes are wonderful and the instructors are great! They really take the time on each individual to correct your form and guide you. The Wilmington Yoga Center is a great way to end the day and decompress! Thanks so much for all everyone there does. It's been a great experience!

I just joined WYC at the beginning of February, and let's just say that obsessed is an understatement!! Their offer of 30 days unlimited classes for only $40 is the deal of a lifetime. I have never taken any yoga classes before and halfway through this month I already feel at home. The instructors are very helpful, experienced, and knowledgeable. They definitely go the extra mile answering questions, and giving plenty of options for beginners such as myself. They make sure that you are comfortable and that you are getting exactly what you need from each class; almost as if it were personalized just for you. Class sizes are fairly small because they offer over 70 a week. The facility speaks for itself. It is very well maintained, and the changing room and showers are kept in excellent condition. (I've taken worse showers at friends houses.) Everything you need is within reach ie. bobby pins, hair ties, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, towels, feminine products, q-tips, hair dryers, hair brushes...even Emergen-C!! Each room is personalized for each class. The "Fire Room" faces the sun rise and through huge windows provides natural light, while the "Water Room" on the backside of the building maintains a cool temperature and feel while you face the woods and the shade. There is plenty of space to leave your personal belongings, and the water fountains are cold filtered water. Check in is a breeze with a key-ring scan card allowing you to scan and pick your class even if there is a wait (which is rare) at the reception area. Tidal Creek is located downstairs, which makes it easy to grab a smoothie or a salad after an intense practice.Overall this facility speaks volumes for itself!! I would/have recommended it to everyone I know. If you are looking for a great way to relieve stress, get in tune with your body, and live an overall healthier life what are you waiting for WYC is the place to be!

I have taken a bunch of different classes at WYC, from basic, to flow, hot, and a challenging power class. They are all excellent! Anyone could find a class that is right for them here. The teachers are terrific, I have never been disappointed. I noticed a reviewer said that they didn't like taking a class after the hot class - now they have a separate hot studio so that isn't a problem.

The instructors are top notch and the practice space is inviting and comfortable. Can't wait to try the new "hot" space during a hot class! Thank you WYC!

This place definitely caters to hot yoga. If you're not into hot yoga, don't waste your money. They schedule the regular classes immediately following the hot classes, so expect the room to be around 90 degrees and the floor full of sweat and hair. By the time the room cools down to a normal temperature, the class is almost over. One week ago the air conditioning broke in one of the rooms, and is still broken at this time. Their solution??? Hold the Hot Yoga in the one room with a functioning air conditioner, and make the regular yoga classes sweat it out in a room with no ventilation! When I asked why, I was told that Hot Yoga is much more popular and thus gets the other room. This place is a total waste of $100 a month. I will be going elsewhere from now on.

I knew the planning and construction at Wilmington Yoga center had been quite intense for the last couple of months, and knew that Kristen and Lauren (WYC owners) have been working very hard to see the construction through 'til completion; but I must admit that was was totally unprepared for what I saw in the new "Fire Room" hot yoga studio. It's absolutely a marvel! Anti-microbial cushioned floors, noiseless radiant heat panels, oxygen sensors to maintain fresh air flow, hospital quality air filtration, studio sound system and beautiful colors. The instructors at WYC are the absolute best of the best and with this new Fire Room for hot classes, one can only imagine the possibilities. Thank you Kristen and Lauren! You have truly transformed hot yoga in Wilmington.

I am a frequent visitor to Wilmington, and one of my MUST stops every trip is the Wilmington Yoga Center. Having lived and practiced in almost every major city in the country - New York, San Francisco, Chicago, LA, San Diego - my experience at WYC is one of the best I've found. An amazing blend of the low-key local vibe, the fabulous teachers (check out Lexi, she brings a motivating blend of mental and physical inspiration), and a lovely sun-filled studio all contribute to the lovely atmosphere at WYC. A must visit in Wilmington!

I love this studio! The teachers are fantastic, the staff is always friendly and smiling and the yoga spaces are the best in Wilmington. The practice spaces are some of the best I have seen anywhere because you see only trees through the windows!

I have gone to the WYC 2x a week for about 7 months now and I am in LOVE! The teachers are super friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is welcoming and vibrant and energetic. I love the hot yoga classes because they are easier on the joints and help relieve my body of toxins and what not. I have increased my strength and flexibility and I feel more confident with my body. I have toned my entire body and I FEEL better than I have in years. I am proud to be a kinda-sorta yogi! Check this place out!
