Gold's Gym - Bailey's Crossroads

This particular Gold's needs to be shutdown. Everyone at the front desk is smiling but no clue what is broken and when you ask they lie. I asked about the men sauna that has been broken for two weeks and on two different days from two different people I was told the sauna had been broken for one. This facility is mostly Hispanic which is the reason no one cares. I am not Hispanic. Ridiculous.

It's a great friendly gym. The equipments are a bit old but the staff is super nice. If something breaks it takes months for it to get fixed. I just need the weights but if you want a shiny clean gym, it might be not for you.

Small gym that uses space efficiently. Not a typical square gym. It has a unique shape inside.The staff is really friendly here and greets you warmly.Has all the equipment that you needThe parking lot is tiny to accommodate a full gym in my opinion.

Was a member at this location for over 12 years. Used gym only once or twice a week on average. I never missed a payment. They punished my loyalty by charging me more than new members for the last 8 years. Every time I contacted a manager at this location and at Golds corporate I was told my loyalty didn't mean anything and they would not lower my fee even by $1 a month. Good riddance greedy jerks.

Great gym but it gets a little crowded. The equipment isn't too old and they have good free weights.

I have had no problems with billing. Not super crowded. Plenty of free weights and cardio equipment. Lacking some of the better machines cybex / nautilus machines

The manager Brenda has failed at all levels when you try a cancel a membership. She continues billing clients when they cancel more than 3 months after a one year paid in full membership. She is never to busy to sign you up but just try to cancel and she will make it a nightmare. I asked for supervisors number and she gave me their same number. I have left messages for the supervisor and have NEVER received a courtesy call back. I have filed complaints with Fairfax Consumer Affairs of which it turns out they have several. I have owned a business over 20 years and perhaps they have alot to learn. Buyer beware before you sign with Golds. They have failed at all levels.

Staff is nice, I was explained the contract at signing and it was done in details. Gym is clean. It is the type of gym that you love if you like to lift weights in a safe and quite environment.If you are social butterfly do not go there, if you are looking for chatting rooms, do not go there, If you love to seat down on a bench and spend 12 minutes texting or talking on your cell, DO NOT go there. Actually stay home or go to a social club. This is a gym, like it or not.If you are confrontational person and do not like guys bigger than you or people wearing boots or someone eventually grunting because of the weight. Please stay home and stop complaining.

Horrible management and business practices. Signed a contract for yearly terms at 17.99/month. I was told if I provided the proper paperwork for relocation, that the cancellation would go into effect 30 days from the date it was received. We have a signed, written contract that states this. It was not just spoken word.The previous manager here, Scot, told us he received that paperwork and submitted it to corporate. Well, sure enough, Scot doesn't even work here anymore and that paperwork has mysteriously disappeared.So we're now getting charged over $60/month for a gym which we can't even get to anymore, and stuck in a contract that they're intentionally breaking. Shady, shady, shady business and love to find ways to try to get you to stay with them. Almost like a cult.Don't even bother with corporate, as they'll give you the same runaround.DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING WITH THESE PEOPLE IF THERE IS EVEN THE SLIGHTEST CHANCE YOU MIGHT MOVE ELSEWHERE.Oh, and the gym itself is tiny and a lot of the machines are broken or are missing parts. Clearly maintenance is not their highest concern.

The front desk staff has always been helpful and welcoming. Barbara, Sylvia, Jade, Kim, Pam along with Jeev and the other lady instructor (don't know her name) always greet members with a warm smile that makes this Gold gym the best in the area. Scott has managed this facility efficiently and skillfully. He has always been open to ideas and suggestions from members and quickly acts upon them.Keep up the good work guys!! We certainly appreciate your dedication and commitment!
