Anchorage Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Both of our kids attend class here, it’s been an awesome experience and my husband and I both enjoy watching them develop their skills every week. The instructors are awesome with kids and hold them to high standards, requiring them to pay attention through class during instruction, then giving them instruction while they practice skills with the other kids. We’ve been really happy with the decision to start them at ABJJ and the progress they’ve made in a year, looking forward to the years to come.

I originally started training at ABJJ years ago after training at a couple other gyms. I was immediately impressed with the instructors and humility I discovered throughout the gym. After reluctantly stepping away from training when I had children, my oldest son is now five years old and as we are homeschooling I’m excited for him to learn to be part of a team, as well as be challenged individually. I’m confident the work ethic and humility he will glean from the family at ABJJ will be lessons he holds on to for many years to come. I’m thankful for the many kids classes offered which creates a more flexible week for our lifestyle, as well as the opportunity for my son to be exposed to several different disciplines (BJJ, Boxing, etc) on the same gym membership.

Very happy about our two children attending Anchorage Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. They have been very helpful and answered all of the questions during the process of signing up. The environment is great for kids to learn and the teachers make learning fun for the kids.I wish that we signed up earlier!

This is an absolutely excellent place. My son has been going for a few months now and truly loves it. The instructors are very knowledgeable and patient with the children, as well as knowing how to communicate with the kids to keep them in line. I highly recommend to anyone looking into sports for their kids, that they sign up for a year of this before looking anywhere else. I promise you won’t be disappointed.

I was visiting from Japan (active duty military) and wanted to roll while I was in town. ABJJ welcomed me as one of their own. I attended the 6am class due to my schedule and it was great! Absolutely a great group of instructors and a great facility. Professionalism beyond my expectations. If you're looking for a place to roll this is it. Thanks again for the opportunity ABJJ.

I am visiting from Oregon and had hoped to find a gym that made me feel at home much like my regular gym. I found it! this place is awesome. Humble, well balanced and just plain awesome Jits! i will definitely be back and will tell my friends back in OR about it. My son has been going to ABJJ for 7 months now and he looks forward to every class. Ryder and the instructors work very well with the kids. I am also impressed with how clean they keep the mats & facility.

The staff was incredibly kind and patient when I dropped in for a week while I was in town visiting. They made me feel both welcomed and a part of their tribe. Professor Ryder and his knowledgable staff run a world class school.They have a robust kids program along with adults BJJ classes.5/5 incredible organization.

Our first time walking in we were greeted with a warm welcome. The staff was very friendly and unintimidating. She explained everything in detail and didn't pressure us all all to join. By the second class our kids names were already memorized among the already large group of 30 kids. The facility is well sized and clean with seating for plenty spectators. Pricing is very competitive and the staff is professional and knowledgable. They do active duty military and first responder discounts.

The BIGGEST school in the state because it's the BEST school in the state. Friendly, welcoming atmosphere for all ages, all levels. Alaska's lucky to have ABJJ!
