Great gym, Hal and Marvel are wonderful owners. Great hours, amount of amenities, lots of Deadlift platforms, and squat racks! Satchel is also the best gym-dog ever.

This is my regular gym and for good reason! The local owners are friendly and appreciate all of their members who they mostly know on a first name basis. The atmosphere is the best because everyone seems to be hanging out at their buddy’s house who just so happens to have gym equipment! We have many different levels of fitness and variety like there is a power lifter crowd, cross fit crowd, seasonal sports training, show competitors and of course a bunch of people just doing their own thing! Best perk of this gym though is it’s affordable plus they still have locker rooms with showers and saunas.

Incredible facility. Lots of space for barbell lifting and large free weight area. Has her strength machines and a separate powerlifting room. Also some cardio machines as you walk in. Run by very friendly staff. Has changing rooms with showers and free towels available as well. Can't recommend it enough.

Awesome knowledgable staff, a wide variety of equipment, and the gym goers themselves are some of the nicest and most helpful people you will ever meet. There's no other gym in town I would rather go to.

A very clean, very spacious gym where everyone is nice and the managers are extremely accommodating. I was visiting Anchorage from Toronto and was looking for a powerlifting gym for a quick workout. Members treat the facilities and equipment with respect; the facilities are more than adequate; the patrons (and Alaskans in general) are very friendly. I enjoyed it immensely and I would go back at the next opportunity.

Great gym with heavy iron. Good layout, far better than any other gym in Anchorage. I highly recommend if your a looking to get a good workout in, not a place to sit and play on your phone.

This is a great place to work out, it's a wonderful fitness community that's more like a family. They have great equipment and allot of athletes and professionals train here that are always willing to support and cheer each other on. The owner and his wife are great people and some of the friendliest people you'll ever meet! I love southside more gyms should be like this!!

One of my favorite gyms to go to. I get to stop in here when I travel to Anchorage and look forward to it. I would love to have a place like this near where I live.

Think of your dream iron gym. There's tons of equipment, it's got a friendly atmosphere like Average Joe's from the movie Dodgeball and everyone reracks their weights. There's even a friendly old dog that you can pet in between sets.
