Thank god 24-Hour bought this location from Bally's!At this 24-Hour Fitness, the gym is kept clean. The staff is friendly, helpful, and encouraging. And it's just been an all around great experience.Polar opposite of when Bally's was running it.

It's a decent club with a good amount of equipment; not the biggest. However equipment maintenance is dismal. (I worked for the recreation department at my university maintaining their exercise equipment, and I would have been promptly fired if I left my equipment in this state; weight stacks sticking and un-lubricated; machines out-of-order for months; general filth). The facility is still dated (despite this "remodel" I'm reading about here), but it's not run-down.

I hate to be critical, but this particular location on this particular day was pretty atrocious. I know this is an older location and I didn't go there expecting it to be as nice as the ones I'm used to in Denver, but this was even worse than I imagined. The locker rooms are terribly small and seemed very dirty. There are no benches, so you have to sit on a stoop in front of one side of lockers to dress. I was asked two times to please move because someone had to get into the locker in front of which I was sitting. I ended up just putting my shoes on while balancing on one foot. I saw someone walk out of the showers wearing a towel and an old pair of gym shoes. I'm guessing he'd rather have put his clean wet feet into dirty shoes than walk on this floor. It was the dirtiest locker room floor I've ever seen (though it could have also been the been partly due to the old tile). The equipment seemed quite out of date. The stair-steppers were archaic and the elliptical machines were not the new ones I'm used to. Also, neither had the ability to plug in your headphones and listen to the TVs like EVERY OTHER 24 Hour Fitness I've been to. The treadmills are newer and do have this option. But the actual work-out machines are also older and are so crammed together that you can smell the person next to you and hear their grunting over the music in your headphones. The steam room was out of service this day and the overall atmosphere and cleanliness led me to just leave un-showered and write it off as a bad experience. I'm sure they've had better days and I'm sure the staff is nice, but I'll never be back.

It's an old gym. Locker room is poorly maintained. One hand dryer doesn't work and hasn't worked for months. Showers drain slowly. One faucet doesn't function properly. There are only 3 outlets and they're all along the counter right above the sinks. Staff is aware and seem to care but I don't think anyone above them cares. Staff and other members are super friendly. Very comfortable place to work out whether you're training or just trying to stay in shape. I'm also a member at Planet Fitness down the street. That place is way cleaner and better maintained, but not the same vibe. Despite all its downfalls, 24 is my favorite.

They are a pack of liars and crooks. My credit card is still being billed and I moved to Alaska months ago. Now I get robo calls several times a day. Don't sign a contract with these crooks.

They don't keep the equipment in good condition. The staff appear to take no personal responsibility for the club, and definitely ignore you if you aren't paying $60/hour for "coaching." There are several signs to that effect; to let the REAL paying customers with their COACH have priority.

I am a member of the 24 hour fitness in "Arvada". I was excited to hear when they said they were going to close and update the facilities. All they did was paint,, looks cleaner unless you look at the ceiling and all the dust that is falling on you. As for the equipment, they added a few new machines, but they still had several that were broke from before the remodel that still had not been fixed. I know that space is limited - but they do have a full gym that could be revamped into more workout space, I am not sure how active this space is for basketball etc, so that may not be an option. As for the staff, they are helpful and make the best of what they have available. The class instructors are great and knowledgeable - wish there were more Yoga opps at night.I also have access to the Englewood facility at lunch. It is like night and day. The machines are new, all with individual screens, nothing is ever broke. Clean and updated restrooms, one drawback - no paper towels. I can get a quick 30 lunch time workout - and they offer spin class at noon. The staff is friendly and the instructors knowledgeable. My question is we pay the same membership fees at both locations, so why is the Arvada location so dismal?I

The sales people are pushy and obnoxious. My friend and I rushed in at 5:35 to get into a 5:30 class, and even after telling them we were in a rush, the guy at the front desk still tried to push on my friend for referrals. This gym is on my way home, but I'm willing to go a bit out of the way to go to the location on 120th, which is way nicer and just feels cleaner.
