My son has been participating in karate for several years. We started with a location on the corner of 64th and Quaker and found that we were locked into long-term over priced commitments. The classes were limited and they simply let the kids play with numb chucks for 10 minutes. We then tried APEX for a few months and my kiddo was never considered for belt progression and became frustrated. We then found Surge as a recommendation from a friend and he LOVES it! Mike is communicative, is strict with the kids, but encourages them on and off the mat. Parents are encouraged to work out at the same time as karate class. No long term contracts and reasonably priced! It's a win win! Could not be happier!

Surge is awesome! The trainers are helpful and make you feel welcomed. The workouts are always changing which keeps them fun so you never get bored but your still sweating hard. The hours they are open are great because you don’t have to wait for a specific class time to workout! If your looking to change up your fitness routine in the new year try Surge!

Ive tried many different workouts and gyms for the years; I tend to get bored easily and move onto the next thing. Surge has been an awesome change! The workouts are challenging- never boring - and I love how much I use my brain learning the new skill of kickboxing. The workouts are fun, and a great stress release. I love how much I’ve improved over the last year, yet also know how much more progress I can still make which keeps me motivated. Taylor and Mike are awesome. They’ve really built something special with social events like kickball, potlucks and other events I feel like I’m part of a community. I always look forward to my workouts and love being part of the Surge kickboxing fam.!

I love SK the workout and the community. I came to SK and started the 6 week challenge and really enjoy the changes that I see in my lifestyle and body. The work out is hardcore and I enjoy that I have a trainer at each training. It is the perfect fit for me being a busy mom and wanting to get it and have a killer work out.My son is also able to do Karate at the same time that I work out which is a two for one for me.
