I couldn’t wait to get back into the gym and was so excited to learn that there was a new owner and new name for this location. There are nine circuits or stations. The stations vary between kickboxing movements, cardio exercises, CrossFit and weights. Between each circuit, you run in place or do some jumping jacks for about 30 seconds to keep your heart rate up. Then you move on to the next station until you hit all nine. The workout changes daily and is tailored to your fitness level. You basically get a personal trainer who helps to walk you through each station and makes sure you are using proper technique and that you understand the exercise. The first couple circuits included “strength training” with dumbbells and a medicine ball. I did squats and lunges for three minutes each. Stations C to H were where the kickboxing fun begin—I gloved up (available for purchase) and got to kick and punch and strike and mess around with a variety of punching bags. The final circuit focuses on the core and is followed by a 30 second plank.I was finally finished and I was totally gassed. Surge is a fun, tough, total body workout. And yes, it is only 30 minutes long, you’ll want to show up a little earlier to stretch and warm up for about 10 to 15 minutes before getting your butt kicked. I absolutely love that there are no set class times and you can just show up when it works best for you. Highly recommend!! Mike, Taylor and Olivia are wonderful!!!

Extremely knowledgeable in the martial arts and kickboxing! A phenomenal work out and the instructors Mike and Taylor were very professional and friendly. The mats and equipment are all kept very clean and it is a safe environment. Would recommend to anyone looking to learn the martial arts/kickboxing or has kids that want to.

I have been going to this gym for a little over a year. Mike, Taylor, and Logan are truly the best. They care deeply about their clients and create a family environment where everyone feels welcome. During Covid19 they have been sending out and going LIVE with virtual workouts to help keep us connected. If you're looking for a great stress relief, some boxing tips, and an overall great workout.. Then come check them out! Highly recommend!

Surge is a great place to train if you’re looking to get a good workout, and/or if you’re seriously trying to improve your striking. The owner Mike is a lifelong martial artist, and is passionate about what he does. Him and Taylor are both great coaches and it’s good place to checkout.

I have always struggled with motivation to work out, but since starting at Surge, I can honestly say I cannot wait to get to the gym every day. It is a seriously fun workout that is crazy effective. And as a busy mom it’s easy to fit in the 30 minute circuit into my schedule. The trainers are all amazing, and the many extra activities and seminars they offer really create a sense of community among all the members. I would highly recommend Surge Kickboxing!!

Agree with all the positive reviews. Fantastic gym and trainers! Friendly, motivating and a great variety of workouts. The design and concept of the workout is fun yet challenging. The trainers are knowledgeable and have a good read on the individuals to help with modifications if needed or they will push you to be better. Very much appreciate the non-judgmental and family feeling atmosphere that is missing from other gyms. Highly recommend!
