Planet Fitness

Friendly staff, clean facility and a nice selection of equipment to work out with. I enjoy my visits to this gym a lot. I have been a constant at this gym for 2yrs now.

Okay… so, I understand that planet fitness has a bit more rules than any gym myself and a lot of people have been to. But the planet fitness in the arden/fletcher area really has seen the last of me, which they won’t miss me but the fact that they’re losing more people each day should say something.I was kicked out today for wearing blue jeans and boots out on the floor. Now, I understand that’s not gym attire. But when I work long days and don’t have the time to head home to pick up my gym clothes each day, I’ll get a good pump in with my street clothes on. Should be okay, in my opinion, if I’m not dirty nor tracking in any dirt either. Every other planet fitness in the 828 has allowed me to workout in my street clothes. Now, I’ve worked at this one in my street clothes for about a year now. No problems, until now.Also, I was kicked out another time for training somebody. All because I wasn’t licensed under planet fitness to train.Another time, I had left my weights on the rack, which I NEVER do but was rushing that day and mistakenly left a 25 on weight on each side of the smith machine. I was told that if it happened again, they’d have to ban me from that location.Overall, the people who workout here are great. All smiling faces and warriors, ready to bust out a good pump each time or get some cardio in. About 3 of the front desk workers though, have the worst manners. Myself, and about 10 other people I know personally have stopped going to this gym due to the fact that the workers there have no respect for the people who pay to workout there. The manners and respect they have for people is little to none.The gym is being treated as if you have to walk on egg shells.I will gladly be going to the one on Spartanburg highway from now on. My wife is a manager there and the rest of the staff is just amazing. Thanks to all the workers at the arden facility that showed respect and held great conversations, and let people put WORK in with no interruptions. You guys rock.
