I've been a member off and on through the years due to moves and cancelling my membership during the pandemic. I recently rejoined during a promotion and having had my vaccine.First off, the pros. It's a nice gym. Kept pretty clean, and has all the bells and whistles (basketball courts, plenty of classes, plenty of machines, sauna, pool, steam room, etc). The staff is pretty nice. Now the cons. It's pretty expensive as far as gyms go. Very poor mask compliance. And there is a lot of upselling of services and other things.Honestly, if I wasn't vaccinated, or even if I was vaccinated but had health conditions or was over 65, I would likely cancel my membership. At any given time20-40% of people have either pulled their mask off, or have it so low on their face that they are essentially maskless anyway. This is bad in most situations, really bad in the current pandemic situation. Pretty easy to see why MN is battling another surge. So, if you don't mind spending a good amount of money on a gym, are vaccinated, and fairly healthy, could be a good place. If you just need a gym without all the bells and whistles, aren't vaccinated, or have some comorbid health conditions or advanced age, I'd probably look around.

I'm not sure why this isn't a 4+ star review. I joined a year and a half ago and the staff have always been friendly and accomodating, the machines always clean and working, the locker mostly clean. Not long before I joined there was a multi-million dollar renovation, I can only assume that the negative reviews are from before that time because I've had excellent service here.100% would recommend this gym. I take yoga classes, use the pool, the hot tub, the steam room and sauna sans covid, treadmills, stair steppers, rowers, and all the resistance training side of the gym. You get a lot for your money, no tennis courts though unfortunately, and no track if you'd prefer a track to run on.

The gym layout is okay, actually one of the better ones. I like the co-Ed dry Sauna and large co-Ed hot tubs. However, the locker rooms are clearly designed by a man. Just the horrible layout and placement of the sinks/toilet/showers adds about a half hour to my day. It is actually really annoying. Not quite as bad as the one at Target Center but just about. The women’s shower floors are always disgusting!!! I’ve been going here for three weeks and I’m sure the women’s showers haven’t been cleaned once. You know when you see the same things on the floor for over a week that it’s at least been awhile! Just got here as they opened today and the floors in the main area were clearly not cleaned the night before either. Everyone gets grace for “Covid” staffing issues but it’s pretty bad sometimes. Other guests might not notice but when you pay this much for a membership I think it ought to be extremely clean.

They are keeping the gym very well cleaned and sanitized during this covid-19 event

I’ve been a member of lifetime for several years. Due to the pandemic my club in Illinois is closed however I travel for business. The Eagan club is open. When I tried to show up I was told I did not have a membership that allowed more than one club. I told her that was incorrect that I have been to this club numerous times. She continued to argue with me. Finally she let me in. Then she called in the middle of my workout to tell me it was because my club was closed and I didn’t have dues paid. She said she would reactivate my account. I asked what would happen when I returned home. She stated my account would remain active so I would pay a full month for two days. She said many people only come twice month.Lifetime is one of the most expensive clubs I would expect them not to harass their members. I normally go every day I understand the pandemic has changed things someone needs to tell lifetime. So I had to change my rating on the way out she met me and made sure on all subsequent visits I would have no issues.

Overcrowded, parking is always an issue, class schedule very limited. They only offer heated yoga classes, which can cause injuries to those with less experience. I cancelled my membership in March, and I was just charged for membership on my credit card in June. I have been on hold now for over 20 mins waiting to talk to anyone about the charges.

One year update: none of the problems I listed below have changed for the better. The gym is still overcrowded and dirty. The first two machines I tried today were broken. The free weight area was unusable due to overcrowding. Last year’s review: The recent remodeling didn’t improve anything except make an already crowded gym more crowded. I occasionally find dirty towels and medical waste in the showers. Lifetime should focus less on new membership sales and more on building more facilities. If you are considering joining: don’t! The locker rooms are so crowded you always feel hurried and uncomfortable.

I loved this gym. I typically don't write reviews however I give credit when they are due. I had an issue where I was being charged monthly after i had terminated my membership ONLY because I was moving to a new city. Called several times and got decent help but expected more. Finally I called the site today and spoke with a lovely lady Sheila (hope i spelled that right) and she found my paperwork and resolved my issues and did it very professionally. I appreciate her and quick response to taking care of my needs. Gym is amazing and staff is very friendly.

Good place for yoga (variety) and group fitness classes! I like the facility. It does get crowded and sometimes it’s hard to find a parking spot. If you’re a single parent lifetime is more affordable than the YMCA (paying for 1 adult + $12 per kid). They throw good kids parties and have a separate kids gym area. The swimming lessons are good but you can’t reschedule which is rough; however, you get 1 private class per 4 missed classes ... it’s not ideal but better than nothing. The lifetime experience is the best I’ve seen yet. They’ve improved significantly over the years and offer a lot more amenities for the money!

Lifetime is the best. Love the platinum membership and being able to go to different locations. Best Alpha equipment area. And love all the basketball courts. This location does a superb job of cleaning and maintaining their building, locker rooms, towels, steam room, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, mouthwash, LOTION. Many things other locations do not do.
