I can't say enough good things about OTF Bloomington. When I moved here I had 3 boxing gyms in mind to try (working out is a major part of my mental self-care routine, and I used to teach at a boxing franchise). When I got here, I learned that one had closed, and the other two just weren't good fits. I was devastated. I thought I'd lost one of the most important pillars of my sanity! Then, a friend recommended OTF. I'd seen them all over the country and always thought, "Eh, it's not tough enough for me." Still, honestly... I was desperate.IT IS. ABSOLUTELY. TOUGH ENOUGH. But in the best way.You push yourself while being surrounded by positive energy and others who are working just as hard as you are. The coaches are incredible: every workout is different, there are 3 groups of people all of whom are doing different things, but the coaches are able to keep track of all that. At the same time they're positive, energetic, and even do tech support in a pinch when your treadmill's software freaks out and has to be rebooted! In addition, the Bloomington folks put a lot of energy into intentional community, and folks, that ish is NOT easy. Coach Jean has a gift for leading by example, and the OTF events are genuinely fun. It's not cheap... but after visiting 5 others, as a genuine gym rat, I can tell you...It's worth it. GO.

I've been working out about five days a week every week for the last 25 years. I had to be urged to give Orange Theory a try. That was six years ago. I'm so glad. I'm in the best shape of my life. I'll be a member forever!

Orangetheory Fitness Bloomington Eastside is amazing! The coaches truly are personal trainers and have helped push me to limits I did not know I could reach. OTF is so much different than typical group exercise facilities in this way. The coaches correct your form, tell you when to increase weights, tell you when to increase/decrease your base speeds on the treadmill etc. and they do it all while watching how your heart rate responds to the workouts. They do not hold back and I love that about this place. I have only been a member for about a month and I have already seen a huge difference in my physical and mental health. I feel stronger, more confident, and am genuinely much happier. If you are considering joining a gym this is the way to go. The workout is based on bio feedback from your heart rate and is proved by science to be effective for members.
