SBG is awesome! I came in with no experience, a little nervous of what to expect. Muay Thai classes has been addicting. Michael and Jesse are awesome coaches. It has been an awesome experience and has helped build a passion for martial arts. Thanks SBG Idaho.

A very great place to train. The trainers are very helpful and hospitable and I learned a lot in each lesson. They have a straightforward and easy to understand method of teaching and everyone wants everyone else to get better. Definitely recommend!

Top notch instruction and great training partners at the fundamental and advanced competitor level. My background is in boxing, but personal schedule only allowed for morning. So I did 7AM Jiujitsu, and Monday PM Judo. Absolutely loved it. And days I feel like boxing, I'd treat myself to the 8:00 AM class with legit boxing trainers.Train for competition, just some sparring, or to meet personal fitness goals: Combat Fitness is a friendly, welcoming environment for all to learn, grow and improve physically and mentally. Great for kids too.Sadly, I took a job requiring relocation to a larger city - yet had no SBG academy, and absolutely NO acceptable substitutes.Privelage to train here, and most importantly outstanding people, both staff and members alike. Definitely will stop by for training sessions and to see friends when I visit Boise.

I had the opportunity to train today at combat fitness SBG and the coaches and students are amazing. They have people at all levels and are extremely welcoming to people dropping in. If you are new and looking for a place to start they have instructors and classes for all levels. The class was well taught and structured. At the end of class there's an opportunity to roll live. Looking forward to coming back. Thanks again to everyone there..Chrismagicphotography

Great professional martial arts training facility. I trained here for over a year and my experience was exceptional. I could easily see my skill level increasing every week by the nature of their training method. I read some negative reviews towards Jesse but for sure those are fake accounts. Jesse did my consultation too and the first person I met at combat fitness and he was truly down to earth guy. Although I never trained with him but he still said hello every time I saw him. Nobody in the gym, the trainers or the people who come to practice are rude. Fees can be slightly expensive but I guess that goes for all martial arts gyms around here. Highly recommend.

The staff and facility at Combat Fitness Boise are great! I am new to the world of MMA and Matt was very helpful and informative as he took me through my free one on one session. I signed up for the basic package and have been doing the Fight Fit classes and Brazilian Ju Jitsu. Both Jesse and Brad have been super encouraging and helpful as this is all new for me. Fight Fit is a fun new way to get in a killer workout.Great place with great people!

I began training at CF in August of 2015. Coming in I had no wrestling or martial arts background, I was a gym rat that trained at the big name gyms in town. I was finally sick of seeing the fashion show and egos that come with those places. Walking into CF for the first time was a bit intimidating, I had checked out other MMA\BJJ gyms in town and didn’t feel like I fit in at those places. CF was different, I recognized people from different places I hung out and was immediately greeted and everyone made sure I knew where to go and who to talk to. I had an interest in Jiu-Jitsu and took my first class with Coach Jesse. I’m a bigger and slower guy so I didn’t know how this was going to workout. The group classes are a broad lesson of techniques, but as you work through the drills, the coaches adjusted techniques for my body type and fight style. I was immediately hooked. After a while I added Striking with Coach Mike Ransom and More BJJ with Coach Brad. Everything about this gym is great, especially the coaches, but the best part is No Egos. Everyone supports each other and wants to see progression. Combat Fitness is top notch.

Friendly staff, great facility. Located downtown-with noon classes to accommodate lunch hour workouts. Great vibe. Excited to see how I progress in my fitness goals as I engage in the training.

I just joined Combat last week, and met with Jesse during my consultation. This is more of a review of the consultation process because to be honest I have yet to kick off the Foundations program itself because of being out of town and then getting sick this week.I read a review below from someone named Drew, and thought I should review the process as well since I also met with Jesse and it sounds like me and drew are dealing with some of the same weight issues. To put everything on the table and for the honesty of reviewing businesses which are people's and families livelihood, I want to disclose that I signed up for the program last week and im already starting to pay for it.Also, I am 6'6" and about 375lbs. At one point I was a very athletic person but as you can see from my weight, I'd be hard pressed to find someone to call me that now days.In the last 10 years I've paid for (and barely used) enough standard gym memberships to give everyone on Google a free year. Which is why I purposely sought out a different format of getting in shape.I looked and spent several days researching all of the "MMA Style" gyms within 40 miles of my house in Boise. And hands down, everything pointed me to contacting Combat Fitness.I advise everyone to do the same and just research it and come up with with your own decision. It wasn't hard for me to come to this conclusion. With that being said, this isn't your normal gym. Which is why it is so highly rated. If someone is looking to speak with a smiling salesmen at the consultation that will just tell you what ever they have to in order to get you to open up your wallet, you will have to go to a normal gym.The guys at Combat, and I got this from Jesse as well, they become like a family and want you to succeed in your goals. On top of that it's very affordable (im lower middle class man with a family) and that was a major factor. And lastly, like I mentioned, I am classified as morbidly obese. And not one time did I ever feel like I was being looked at like I'm out of place. It's actually to the contrary, I was the one with the apprehension, and Jesse encouraged me and made me fill comfortable about joining Combat. The only time weight came up and topics about being out of shape, was when I brought them up. I'm not going to pretend like I'm not who I am, but it wasn't a factor one bit.Anyways, I'll finally be starting the foundations program this Friday. Although I'm still apprehensive because of my lack of athleticism, I'm very much looking forward to getting in shape again cause it's been to long and learning how to defend myself and my family if ever needed in hand to hand combat. And I know I'm in good hands at Combat Fitness.Ryan

Combat Fitness is an awesome MMA gym. Ever since I walked in I've felt the friendly vibe, only for the first few minutes that I was there I felt anxious, but after just one class I felt right at home. Awesome gym.
