If you fancy yourself a cerebral person this is the only gym for you. Top notch instruction from a true OG of mixed martial arts. Professor Clarke will not only physically and mentally challenge you every single day but he also has a way of inspiring you to challenge yourself to be better every time you cross through those doors. I’ve been training close to a decade and have seen a lot of different styles of instruction in a Jiu jitsu gym and I honestly can’t think of any that can hold a candle to Broadway. There’s a reason why a lot of really bright minds choose to call this place home. Don’t take my word for it though, come experience it for yourself. We welcome beginners, experienced fighters, and big tough guys with matching egos equally!

I’ve been to a few jiu jitsu gyms and am happy to have found Broadway Jiu-Jitsu. JC and the rest of the staff have been extremely helpful since I started training there. The family atmosphere they’ve created makes it a fun and competitive place to learn. I highly recommend.

If you want to be pushed to improve while still being supported this is the place. Great teaching, great atmosphere, great training partners. And that's true for all the different martial arts they teach here, which include not only BJJ and Muay Thai but Judo and Wrestling as well. They have you well covered at Broadway.

Broadway Jiu-Jitsu is the best place to train in Boston. With classes for people of any skill level and offered in the morning, noon and night. All of the instructors are knowledgable and helpful, whether your goal is just to exercise, learn self defense, or compete.

Was visiting from out of town and decided to give Broadway a try. I have been training for 7+ years (purple) and am 43. I have trained at quite a few gyms across the country and was glad to have found Broadway! The class varied in belt, age and size which is always a good thing! Said another way, it doesn’t matter if you are 40 years old with no grappling experience or a 22 year old hotshot black belt—there were plenty of sparring partners for each.Class started with takedowns (Thank you! I’m in the “guard pulls should be a negative advantage if not negative points” camp) and then moved to technique. We concluded with groups of 3 people rotating through 7 minute rounds of “top/bottom/switch.”I went with two other similar sized purple belts who 1) seemed to be appropriately belted (no belt inflation here!) and 2) went respectfully hard, which is a good thing. If you are looking to learn self defense, get in shape or compete in tournaments, come check out Broadway. To me, it exuded the “friendly, quiet confidence” vibe that all good jiu jitsu schools have.

Great gym with fantastic instructors. Classes for different levels: people learning self defense as a hobby all the way up to elite mixed martial artist. They’ve helped build my physical and mental discipline as well as what to do in a violent altercation. Can’t recommend them enough.

JC is a great instructor. He is very thorough when going over techniques in class. The gym has a very good atmosphere for training as well; everyone there pushes one another to be better everyday.

Broadway Jiu Jitsu is one of the best places to train in Boston. Professor JC's instruction is top notch and we now have a black-belt for every weight class. There are classes for everyone, across all skill ranges. Coming to class is my favorite part of the day because I get to train with great people who are motivated to get better each class.

Broadway is bar-none the best place to train BJJ in New England. There’s a black-belt for every weight class and a large, tight-knit community of students and instructors that push you to train harder and be a better version of you. Broadway provides Jiu Jitsu classes for everyone, across all skill ranges. Coming to class here is my favorite part of the day because I get to train with friendly people who are motivated and each provide a unique perspective on life and martial arts.
