I had been a Planet Fitness member since the business first opened in Wadsworth. I started with a White card then upgraded to the black card. I was never particularly keen on the staff. Any quality staff they did have moved on quickly. But to be honest I didn't join this gym for their warm and fuzzies. I joined given the close proximity to my home. Since the inception of the COVID-19 crisis members and staff were asked to wear masks according to state guidelines. Guidelines which stipulate exceptions to the mask guidelines for those whom suffer medical conditions which wearing a mask could cause a potential medical problem. I had been in the gym multiple times since March without incident and had removed my mask from time to time. On October 6th 2020 I was approached by Ms. Crossty the manager of the Wadsworth facility. I was using an elliptical and while working out I was told to put my mask on while actively engaged in my workout. I am an armed forces veteran who suffers from many ailments as a result of my 12+ years of service. I explained to Ms. Crossty I have asthma which I contracted from overseas combat service and I was short of breath and didn't feel comfortable wearing my mask. Which, by the way, my mask was hanging on the equipment I was using. She proceeded to inform me that unless I wore my mask immediately I would have my membership revoked. Again I explained my situation and she stormed off agitated and returned with my letter of membership cancellation. I was obviously taken back and asked if the other patrons walking around without their makes would be held to the same standards. To my knowledge I was the only one who lost their membership. I have since not yet found another gym but I can assure you it will not be a Planet Fitness here or anywhere else for that matter. My advice to you if you live in the vicinity of Wadsworth steer clear of Planet Fitness not only is their judgment by the staff but according to the owner it is final.

I usually go to the planet fitness in wooster and have never had a problem there before.Recently changed location due to the fact it was closer to work. We worked out once and the next day when coming back we were told we could not work out unless we changed close because apparently freshly washed clean high viz clothing is not aloud. I work in the tree industry as a climber and it is vital my guys and I stay fit. I've never had a problem before, and explained to the front desk how we can where gym shoes but our clothes are no different then anyone else's. She preceded to tell us we must where work out clothing Wich is again no different than what we were where in. We clean our work out area just like everybody else. We wear our masks up whenever possible.and we literally just go there to work out half an hour a day and that's it.

Very unprofessional staff. I used to be a regular at Wadsworth but had tried Brunswick and liked the staff and the facility a lot more. Today I walked in with my mask on, then walked to a treadmill to warm up. As I am on the balcony the staff is on their phones and sitting on the counters with their masks down. I walked by to use the men’s restroom.. walked out. I was approached to “wear my mask when walking around.” Not only was I was singled out as MULTIPLE gym members were not doing the same, but as she is talking to me, her coworker was not wearing one. For the whole hour I was there, this worker was not wearing her mask. I was very upset. Not to mention half of the paper towels dispensers were empty the employees were too busy on “Mask patrol and texting” I was the only one they had tried to talk to.. I will no longer be using the wadsworth facility.

All the workers are nice and helpful. And every other person I’ve talked to is really nice helpful as well. The Wadsworth Planet Fitness is my favorite out of the few I’ve been to not only because of the people/environment, but the equipment is well maintained and has high weight

I tried canceling my planet fitness membership over the phone and was told that it had to be done in person. Since I had the "Black card" membership, I went to a location near my house and they told me it had to be done at my "home" gym. When I first signed up for the membership, I choose the location in Wadsworth as my "home" gym. You should be able to cancel your membership at any planet fitness location. Not only did I have to go to two different locations just to cancel my membership, but I also was treated disrespectfully at the Planet Fitness in Wadsworth. I experienced poor customer service by both the front desk person and the manager.The manager at this location was very rude to me when I attempted to discuss my poor experience with canceling my membership. She said "Well nobody else has ever complained before and I've worked here for 5 years." Which made me feel like my experience doesn't matter and that she doesn't care. I asked if there was an email address or someone else I could reach out to and she said "No, it's just our policy and there's nothing you can do to change it."I feel that Planet Fitness was purposely making the cancelation process difficult in order to receive more payments from me. I would think more efforts would be made to make this process easier and with less in person contact as possible, especially during a pandemic.

I tan at the Wadsworth location after work in the mornings. The girls that work the desk are always so friendly and accommodating to me. They try to get me in as quickly as possible, and if I do have to wait, they offer me the massage chair or bed, which is wonderful after a long night of working in health care. The beds are amazing and so clean, always. I'm so happy to be a member here!

Staff is very friendly and willing to teach you. I suggest cleaning machine BEFORE AND AFTER I see a lot of people not cleaning.
