Crunch Fitness - Ballantyne offers a comprehensive range of equipment and classes, making it a popular choice for fitness enthusiasts. It features numerous machines, squat racks, and barbell racks. The gym also has a selection of popular HIIT classes, with instructors like Sara K. and Debora C. highly praised for their motivating sessions. The membership is priced competitively, at $9.99 a month, which appeals to many users.

However, the gym struggles with overcrowding, making it difficult to access equipment during peak hours. Users report issues with customer service and misleading contract terms, particularly around membership cancellations and personal training sessions. Cleanliness and equipment maintenance also seem to be recurring concerns.

Pros:

  • Many equipment options including barbell and squat racks
  • High-quality HIIT and fitness classes
  • Friendly and motivating instructors (e.g., Sara K. and Debora C.)
  • Competitive membership cost ($9.99 per month)
  • Welcoming staff and community atmosphere
  • Clean and modern equipment
  • Additional amenities like sauna and hydro massage chairs
  • Trainers available for personal sessions
  • Consistently clean facility

Cons:

  • Overcrowded during peak hours
  • Issues with membership and contract cancellations
  • Some equipment maintenance and cleanliness concerns

Jake is the best employee ever. Really cares about every member. Never heard a malicious thing out of his mouth. Always the sweetest person.

Gym isn’t bad, needs more than one water fountain and parking is TERRIBLE. Pretty much always full too but theres plenty of machines so it’s not all that noticeable if you are willing to swap workout order around.

There’s just too many people here. The gym is essentially unusable from 3pm-9pm. Even during lunch when I can break away from work, there’s lines for the power racks or benches. All the while they are still pushing membership and PT sales like crazy. I cannot wait until another gym opens up to dip.

Really great place to workout. Lot of equipment. Looked clean. Lot of people working out so prepare yourself to wait a little bit to get to some of the equipment

Spent about 6 months here while traveling. It’s a nice gym with TONS of equipment options and classes. However, this is the busiest gym i’ve ever been to. Seems like anytime of the day you go, you are waiting in lines to use every machine. If you can afford 2 hours for workout, it shouldn’t be an issue. Just not a fan of how packed it gets.

Gym is overall pretty fine and definitely a good price point. It’s the best option nearby for me since Anytime closed down out of the blue and is like 1/4th the cost.Numerous machines have been out of order for a while and it is constantly packed with high schoolers talking to each other at the bench you’re trying to use. 24 hour access would be great, there are simply way too many people here at any given time

Great selection of equipment but too few cleaning stations. The people who are unwilling to sacrifice precious lifting time hiking back and forth to the cleaning stations simply do not clean their equipment. Signage hopelessly indicates to clean before and after but people aren't making the effort.

Jason and Jake provided me with excellent customer service! I am new to the gym and they made me feel very welcomed and comfortable!

Hotel California: You can cancel any time, but you will pay again.Even after 3 months of my daughter not attending (not your issue), and charging another monthly fee last Wednesday, Jeff, you saw fit to make sure we were charged again to cancel. You have successfully adhered to your policy, but have also successfully ensured none of our family will enter into Crunch Fitness. Customer Service is not at the forefront of this operation.

Gym was really clean and employees are really chill, Jake and Victor helped me out a lot with signing up for the membership!
