I've been taking yoga classes from Nora for several years now, and I've always gotten a lot of benefit from them. She's a knowledgeable and experienced yoga teacher, and, above all, she's always responsive to the needs of her clients. She always asks what people need to work on (in terms of areas of the body), and she is able to adjust her approach accordingly. I intend to continue to participate in her sessions online, even though I'm now in Europe.

I am a student of Nora Benian's Yoga Teacher Training program. This is my second time round taking teacher training and I feel so lucky to have had Nora as my teacher. She has such a thorough and well thought out program, with so much good information to share. It is clear that her knowledge of and experience in yoga is multi-faceted and deep. She truly lives what she teaches. Her lessons are thoughtful and informed. Her approach is compassionate and passionate all at once. She loves what she teaches and she cares about her students. She's so generous, she will give all of herself to ensure that her students are getting what they need. She is committed, reliable and dedicated to her work and to her students. When teaching, she develops a relationship with each student, learning and paying close attention what their needs and limitations are and eliciting feedback so she can continually improve herself. She is flexible, always being sensitive to where her students are at in a given day. She's delightful, friendly and warm; insightful and honest as well. She will humbly share about her own life experiences, being willing to expose her vulnerabilities if it benefits her students. I have been so enriched by being Nora's student and will continue to return to her for more teachings.

I found Nora and her online classes through the Roots Yoga studio in Toronto during Covid. She’s been a real god-send. I continue to take her online yin classes regularly (even though the Roots studio closed) and I highly recommend her as an instructor. Nora is a gentle soul and is a wonderfully knowledgeable instructor. She can (and does) develop a class theme/structure on the fly based on what people want/need and she can also suggest multiple variations or alternative options for poses depending on injury/restriction/yogi level. I can personally attest to that since I’ve been struggling with a nagging shoulder injury for the past 6 months, but it hasn’t stopped me from taking the yin classes. That really speaks to Nora’s years and talent teaching. She can dial her classes up or down and really wants to make sure she’s tuned into each individual's needs. I always finish each practice feeling a little lighter, more grounded and happily relaxed.

I have been taking Yin Yoga with Nora for 7+ years both in person and on line. She is extremely knowledgeable and adept at talking you through the poses as well as making adaptions to your needs. Yin has been an amazing compliment to other physical exercise as well as great if you spend a lot of time sitting in front of a computer. You must try one of her classes!

Nora is a fantastic yoga instructor with her immense anatomy knowledge, excellent teaching skills, patience, and passion for her job. She caters to every client's needs and accommodates their requests. My teenage daughter has scoliosis, and during the time she worked with Nora individually, her posture improved, and her muscles gained strength. Thank you, Nora, for always being there.

Thank goodness we have real yoga professionals like Nora! Her practice is pure gold! Nora is very experienced and knowledgeable. She teaches with a top level of loving-caring presence and knowledge, and her classes cover all levels and needs. I’d give her 10 stars instead of five!

I have attended Yogaaah online class with Nora and completed a teacher training. Nora is very informed and thorough. You will be offered modifications, pointers, and safety tips for each pose as well as the purpose of each pose and how it is helpful to you as a student, and how it could be useful for your students, if you teach. All in all, at Yogaaah you experience peace and develop your practice.

We’ve been taking Yoga classes with Nora for over 5 years, initially in class and lately online. She is the ultimate professional. Empathetic, creative and supportive of all students no matter what their age, stage or ability . She improvises and structures each class to meet the needs of her students. Nora is an experienced, warm and caring yoga instructor who we recommend highly.

Nora is hands-down the best yoga teacher I've had since I started practising 6 years ago. She is a highly experienced yoga teacher who has a deep understanding of the human body and can fine-tune each class to meet the specific needs of every participant on the spot. Somehow, she makes each person feel she's catering to their unique needs!. Her classes have a flow that makes perfect sense and the transition between poses seamless. Her instructions are clear and she has a very gentle and respectful way of helping you correct your pose if needed or make it easier for you to hold the pose. She packs a lot into the classes and makes even the most challenging poses seem like fun. I would highly recommend Nora to anyone, from beginners to the most advanced practitioners of yoga.

I have had the pleasure of taking 2 instructor courses with Nora, Prenatal Yoga Instructor and Restorative Yoga Instructor classes. She was engaging and knowledgeable in both courses and I would highly encourage anyone interested in furthering their own yoga practice to take one of her courses.I have also had the pleasure of taking yoga classes with Nora during the pandemic, a welcome addition of calmness, breathing and movement during a stressful and uncertain time.
