I love the atmosphere of this place. Amazing place to always get a good workout with no distractions.

I quit my member ship 2 years ago after months and months of asking if the hot water in the showers was ever going to be fixed. I got all kinds of different answers, but mostly people saying oh yeah “people are complaining but you’ll have to call or come when a manager is here”. Which I did, and got all versions of answers that they were working on it, that it would be reported, etc. Sometimes they would go in the boiler room and bang around and it would make it a little hotter but it would get cold, most of the time, pretty quickly.I hated to have to quit and join another club over just this reason Because it’s really a great gym franchise. I have been to them all over Arizona and they all have hot water.I went back to check out the showers on two occasions, recently, hoping it was better now so I could re- join. And neither time did they have hot water consistently. One time there was a 15 second burst of hot water but it became luke warm quickly, and shortly started gettting cold . The other time it was between lukewarm and cold. Never hot. Closer to cold. It was always the same kind of deal for the last couple years I was a member.I’m very surprised more people haven’t complained here, but I guess most people just go home and shower. Or figure that the membership price is very fair so they deal with it being cold. It's unfair that this isn't disclosed when people join, especially because of the startup fees that are paid.

I’ve been a member for a little over 7months and the lack of employees is showing more and more. The restrooms are filthy and always lacking the essentials (TP & Soap) there is always a mess on the floors. Today I was in the gym 3 hrs observing how often an employee would go into the male restroom, Not even once.On the floor machines stay out of service for weeks before they are functional again.The only reason why I don’t go to elsewhere is location.

Spacious, clean, many machines. The gal with whom I signed in for membership was kind of dismissive (I'm elderly, and not Hispanic). Also? Where's the clock? I kinda like to check my times. The only clock I saw on the wall registered some time in an alternate universe, and never changed. The inescapable music they play is nice and LOUD, and all in Spanish. Could be a more inclusive club, as to demographics.

First time at this planet fitness and first one to go in at opening. Bathroom floors dirty and not all equipment working properly. Several machines missing cut holders like ellipticals, etc. Disappointed. Response from location was to contact the Manager. If the Manager hasn't notice the multiple machines missing cup holders and equipment malfunction or bathrooms dirty when it first open the doors perhaps he/she might need to spend more time checking the facility and ensure staff is doing what they are supposed to.

I recently purchased a black card membership for this gym chain so that my spouse and I could workout together before work.We prefer to go at 5am. The club closest to us is a convenient 5 minute drive away. However,For the last 3 days in a row now the club is not opened at said time. There is a line of folks out front waiting for someone to open the club.We have waited 30 - 45 minutes at a time for the club to open only to leave to rush to the next nearest which is 15 minutes away or to just go home as it becomes too late to even bother going due to work time constraint. Is the staffing level that bad at this location? And / Or is the person that is supposed to open the club not getting up on time and late regularly? In any case there should be at least two key openers assigned to the opening shift to avoid inconveniences like this. I know we’re not the only ones that fee this way as we have witnessed fellow 5 AM’ers leave irritated, voice their irritation verbally, and talks of cancelling membership all together. Yes i have a black card so i can go to any location but what about those who have the $10 home club membership and cannot go elsewhere. I haven’t even had this membership for a month now and we’re already contemplating cancelling and going with Chuze as they are closer and are always open on time. Okay ya. Pretty GOOD Gym, as ALL of Planet fitness gyms are. Came to California to work. Joined this Gym in Chula Vista. Had a blast. The ONLY reason I'm giving three stars is because when I left the State, I tried to cancel my contract and I experienced pure turbulence. Oh, they put me on hold, never came back to phone. Never let me speak to manager, or left the phone on busy. It was insane, and a huge fight. If you wish to cansel from this Gym, better come in the actual office. I followed ALL the procedures in the Contract under section 9 cancelation procedures to no prevail. Then finally today JUNE 2, 2022 I called 6a.m California time, Mr Mario SAVED the day and came to my rescue. He finally did what no one else in the whole gym would do. He canceled my membership, right before I was going to go to the regional manager in San Diego. WAY to Go Mario!!

I've been going to this gym for about a month now. At around 11:15 today, 5/04/2022, I was working out at the gym. There was another gymmember who started cursing and threatening people in the gym where everyone could hear. He did this for 15 minutes and did not stop. I asked the front desk to remove the person. They said there was nothing they could do, so I left. My safety is not guaranteed at this gym and made me feel uncomfortable.

I purchased a membership in Escondido 5 days ago, and I’ve came twice trying to transfer the account. The staff get so mad! I don’t understand why. They don’t care about losing a member at all. They might be all nice until you have a complaint then you see the real them. Planet Fitness employees should be ashamed of themselves! Guess I’ll chuze Chuze Fitness!

I gave it a 4 out of 5 because it takes weeks if not months for them to fix an equipment. Furthermore, the staff doesn't seem to take care of the cleaning area because when I want to clean the equipment I used there is never disinfectant in the bottles they are always empty .
