I am a black card member here. As far as the facility is concerned... I enjoy working out and exercising here. But on the other hand, this location has a lot of problems with homeless. It's unfortunate to walk in the bathroom or attempt to take a shower while being bombarded buy homeless people sleeping on the floor in the locker room area or washing their clothes in the sink /shower. This problem needs to be fixed for good.

I'm a new member and have already soured on this place. First of all, the music is absolutely horrid, computerized garbage. Second, typical big box where they barely look up to greet you as you come in. It's always freezing in there. And …

Well, my husband n I signed up at the end of February and we were told it would be open the 1st or 2nd week of March....we're here going on the 3rd week ...still nothing. We were told we would get an email....in the mean time, about a week …

I called today to ask if there was a kid's club service was available. I was asked if I was already a member. I replied no and was looking to switch from LA Fitness, since this gym is much closer. Instead of just answering my question, the gal read from a script of what memberships were available. At the end she asks me if I have any questions, I reply " yeah the one I asked you when you answered the phone." Then she tells me, "no we don't allow children here."If she could've just answered my question, it would've saved wasting my time reading an obviously scripted sales pitch for a membership I would never be interested in. This to me reflects poor training.

Yesterday at around 7:55pm my daughter and I went to Planet Fitness on Broadway St. in Chula Vista. A Young male greeted us at the front desk, I ask for information but as he was giving us information, he seemed as though he was in a rush! I stopped him and asked if it was possible for them to charge my account on the 22nd and he immediately said “no sorry” and continued like a recording. I stopped him once again and asked if there was any way we can work it out so that my membership could start on the 22nd, even if it meant coming back then and again he said NO. I said “thank you, I won’t be able to do it”, to which he just said ok and turned around, walking away. We went to Chuze Fitness on 3rd Ave right after and what a difference! They even asked me if I wanted to have a tour, the young man was very professional and gave us all the attention and information we need. He also gave us a week for FREE!!! Wow, now that is customer service! He understood I was unable to start right away and gave me all the options to accommodate me, needless to say I’m returning on the 22nd and signing my family up!!

The update on opening is 2ND week of March. So excited for this location opening close to me. I love planet fitness it's so nice knowing I can work out and not be judged. At least those are the rules.

]plenty parking. Air condition , sanitation spray and towels. Clean lots exercise equipment. Perfect for cardio, and loading weight. But not equipt for strength training. Drinks are half price which is awesome. Love this place but not enough heavy weights. Perfect for starters.

Super bad customer service, when I signed up they talked me into getting the black card because I would have unlimited guest privileges, my and my guest would be able to use everything and come in any time, dumb me signed a from contract and every time I bring my guest something comes up. These people need to really explain what they are selling. There's no unlimited guest privileges bunch of liars!

When I signed up in January I was told the 2nd week of February it would open. We're going on March now and still not opened. If I knew I would have to drive all the way to University ave to work out I would have joined a different gym. Wasting my gas money and I won't even mention the terrible traffic. I hope they don't charge for the first month because that wouldn't be fair to the members who signed up for this location. We'll see how it goes when and if it ever opens, I'm very glad I got the No Commitment option because this has been a terrible experience so far for this location.

As a member since opening gym, it has been great, props as it is really open 24/7, the main reason I signed up. And Great variety of machinesNo online or voicemail info with for opening day.... when you call, there is NO recorded message...you get a lame recording saying "the subscriber has a voicemail that hasnt been set up." For a busiess line???? I shouldn't have to drive by to get this simple info. I do hope this isn't a sign of how things will function.
