For the price it is a very good gym. As of now sometimes it gets a little packed but nothing too problematic you will still be able to get a workout in. Almost all of the machines work and there’s a lot of variety if you live in the area and are a casual gym goer it’s a great option.

This location has been very professional and generous throughout the pandemic's quarantine and after. I have been a black card member and the gyms shutdown around Sep/Oct 2020. I found out the gyms had opened in Mid May 2021 about a month later and went to resume my charges. There was some error on my account or my card because of how the stop payments were being treated Im not sure exactly what it was. So fast forward to last week in July I want to get this fixed so I come to pay willing to accept w/e charges I owe even if I didnt use or have access to the gym for the past several months. I was relieved and overjoyed when who appeared to be the morning supervisor credited my months cancel/reactivated my account and wiped a $102 payment. She started me as a new member with annual fees in September and paid $1 instead that day. This is a company and its staff taking care of their customers. I was completely thrown on and surprised and I am sure I am not the only one with a messed up situation due to the pandemic quarantines. Thank you Planet Fitness Chula Vista <3

It has good machines, plenty of cardio and most everything is accessible throughout the day. Staff is super friendly and always willing to help or explain. They do a good job providing cleaning supplies and cleaning the locker rooms at regular intervals.

Your standard gym, easy self check-in, friendly staff, and locker rooms with lockers and showers available. There are some services available only to premium members, I believe its called black card members(?).Planet Fitness is a 'budget' gym so please keep in mind that they will not have other amenities like a pool, sauna, or provide personal trainers or in-person classes. Its a great gym if you don't mind it being crowded, I mean its super affordable! My only complaint is that half of the toilet stalls are locked bc they're out of service, not sure if that's actually the case but threes only a few stalls available :(

What’s the point of business hours is they can’t even open on time? It’s just irresponsible business practice to have people waiting when doors should be open at a posted time.. now officially 45 mins passed the posted opening time. Some people have responsibilities to tend to at an early time and depend on those early openings.. with that said this is a real inconvenience considering I was depending on the 7am open and now my schedule is screwed up. Probably won’t get my workout now and I will be thinking of canceling my membership. Note worthy about 7 to 8 member waiting since 7am left angry having to wait.. she finally arrived at around 755am, almost an hour of the posted opening.the opener also had an attitude upon arrival even though she was the one inconveniencing the paying members that were patient enough to wait for her. If this continues I can guarantee you will lose member and get more bad google reviews.

You can get a decent workout here. Only 3 stars because broken machines stay broken for weeks at a time and the location is kind of sketchy. Being open at all hours is a big plus, however.

Usually in the mornings, the restrooms are a bit messy. Lucia the trainer is great, she makes you feel very comfortable. There is a person at the counter that is not that nice, but everyone else is.

Cheep. But that is exactly what you get out of it.... It's dirty!!!! And I mean nasty, the restrooms are never clean with hair,old raizor and used pads in the shower stalls for days. I have brought it up to management and all he said "yes they can get pretty dirty" I was like WHAT??!!! Maybe you should have someone clean them more often. But nothing changed.

I had to update my rating of this gym. While the gym is big and spacious, the workout ratio for some of the equipment is ridiculous. How do you have like 30 treadmills but only four Stairmaster machines? Also, when equipment is broken, it takes WEEKS for it to be fixed. The gym NEEDS better management. The turnover rate here is just sad.

I like the gym and staff, but the parking is filled with 24 hour loiterers and folks living in their RV, Van's, trucks and cars. There's junk, Needles, puke and cigarettes from these same people. Many don't even work it, just walk in use the restroom/bathroom...The parking lot is very dark ay night and at 1,2,3 or early morning there's always some drunk or high screaming or arguing going on.Take some responsibility for your 24 hour tenants.
