Equinox Highland Park in Dallas promises premium services but often falls short. With a spacious layout and clean facilities, it offers top-tier amenities like a saltwater pool and eucalyptus towels that many members love. However, frequent reports of outdated equipment, unreliable air conditioning, and poor management tarnish the allure. The high membership cost also doesn't justify the experience for many, leading to frustrations among its clientele.

I have been a member for 8 years and this was one of my original gyms I frequented. In those years, I don't think they've enhanced the gym at all, banking on the popularity of location and spaciousness of the footprint (the only positive to this location). Given the continued rate increases and brand promise of luxury, management and / or corporate needs to significantly invest to address the myriad problems. They include: consistently out of order equipment, equipment 20+ years old, A/C out of order, filth literally everywhere (three examples: 1) pre-COVID, there used to be someone vacuuming almost constantly but I've not seen a soul vacuuming since post-COVID, 2) there is an inch-thick layer of dust next to the "water fountain" in the stretching area, 3) the men's locker room counters aren't cleaned - there's a spot of goo-ed up lotion in one area that wasn't cleaned for over a week), and wooden floors with full sections chipped out to the point they had a mini orange cone on one of them for *months*. I could go on, but I'll stop there. This location needs help desperately.

The other two are much better kept up. The A/C is consistently broken, the locker room isn’t kept up very well and the steam room works half the time lol. Staff is really nice though! Eqx corporate give them a remodel for the love of god 😭 …

Super bougie but nice facilities with great equipment. The help desk lady didn't know much about pool equipment but it's a salt water pool which was awesome!!!

Been going to this gym for over 1 year and have been to many other equinox around the country. Old building with poor upkeep. Water has been out intermittently along with air for a long while now. Major leaks from ceiling and mildew on waterfall near stretch area that is gross and smelly. No management in site and no one addressing this with its members who pay 220 dollars per month for no where near luxury quality. Poor representation of equinox quality.

If you want to end your membership, be sure to put it in writing or else they will keep charging you.

Great if you like working out in a sauna. For how much you pay you would think they could run the air conditioning during the Texas summer

This gym has been going downhill for quite a while. Is a very common topic among members who feel management only says what they think customers want to hear. The AC has been out or next to nothing in several areas of the gym for a couple days. This pic was their answer this afternoon, while Dallas' heat index is over 100. One lady was suffering heat exhaustion and had to lay down and be assisted by staff. I was told this morning the AC would be fixed by the afternoon. I was told this afternoon when I arrived the AC was being fixed in the men's locker room at that time. Both statements were not true. Meanwhile they were putting up plenty of effort to set up a pic station with balloons for guests. The pool is so over treated you can smell the chemicals from the hallway, and the air ventilation system has not been working for about a week, so they have to keep the pool area door open to combat the humidity. Saturday I asked to speak to the manager but apparently the front desk is trained to tell customers the manager is not there. The manager was there and eventually came out. If I had a close upscale gym alternative with a lap pool close to my house I would not be a member here. When I ask other members that I know if they have complained to the front desk or management, they reply no, because the experience is that nothing will change.
