Equinox Highland Park in Dallas promises premium services but often falls short. With a spacious layout and clean facilities, it offers top-tier amenities like a saltwater pool and eucalyptus towels that many members love. However, frequent reports of outdated equipment, unreliable air conditioning, and poor management tarnish the allure. The high membership cost also doesn't justify the experience for many, leading to frustrations among its clientele.

Just so-so. I go because it’s the closest gym to me, but definitely not worth the price tag. After 2 years, why is there still no juice bar? Also both times I’ve asked about my membership they’ve said that the advisors aren’t there? Just disappointing for the city’s most expensive gym.

Gym is okay, but nothing special. Dated equipment and design. I would give the facilities a 3/5 compared to other gyms in the area, but I’d also quite a bit more expensive. The biggest problem is the management staff. They are extremely difficult about cancellations- demanding doctors notes for freezes and doing everything in their power to keep you from freezing or canceling memberships.I had originally done a freeze (was given incorrect pricing on cost to freeze) due to travel. Got injured and didn’t realize I was still being charged. Found multiple $220 charges when doing an annual audit. I had to call multiple times to get someone to answer me. Finally heard back from management who told me they needed a doctors note(what is this elementary school?) to get refunded for the previous months. Told them I never got one because I didn’t know I needed one. Got a doctors note and they said that they wouldn’t honor it because it was dated after the months in question even though the doctor addressed those months in the note. Ridiculous excuse for customer service. It was clear that I did not use the gym or know I was being charged and even after providing a doctor’s note they still wouldn’t honor several of the months. After receiving the terrible customer service I decided to just cancel my membership and they told me I was locked in for a year. Had to go back and find where I got a guarantee from the rep that I could cancel at any time. Thankfully I had pushed for this to be documented because I remembered having similar treatment from management the first time I canceled before Covid. I don’t mind paying 3-10x the cost of most other gyms in the area for a product and service that justifies the price, but other than nicer products in the locker rooms, this place has neither a better product nor better service (in fact really terrible service.) stay away to avoid the same mistakes I made.

Save your money and go somewhere else. Very poorly maintained, very dirty, steam room works once a week.

Wanted a day pass at 8:30 am. Girl at the desk said to come back at 10 or 11 when the membership advisors come in.

I love Equinox and I’ve been a member at the Highland Park location for several years now, but please try to do a better job of cleaning the locker rooms/restrooms. It’s getting pretty bad at times. And from overhearing conversations in the locker room, I’m not the only one that feels this way.

This gym has unfortunately gone from bad to worse. I’ve been a member for 10 years now and have worked out at many clubs across the country. The Dallas Highland Park location is a marginal upgrade from a YMCA. The ONLY people that are professionals are the group fitness instructors. Here’s what you get as a member: you pay $200+ a month for a dirty locker room, broken equipment, closed the next day any time it storms (guaranteed), a steam room that never works, no juice bar (haven’t had one for over 2 years lol), half the building under construction due to flooding…and to top it all off…you can get your locker AND your car broken into all under one roof…It’s honestly sad what has happened to this place. No use providing feedback to local/regional/or corporate management; they don’t do anything. There is zero competition and they know they can keep collecting our money without recourse. “There is no alternative”

I loved visiting for the first time. Clean, greeted with a smile and everything is so clean!

Morgan Bennett’s class are the only thing that keep me going to Equinox because it’s impossible to lift weights in the main area because it’s always filled with too many men, too little equipment etc. I will not be reinstating my membership here after my here though.
