Love my workouts here - coaches and desk staff are all so friendly and welcoming. Whether it's your first time exercising or you're an old pro, the workouts themselves suit every level of fitness.

Lack of transparency and poor customer service: came here and met with the manager at OTF Uptown a week and a half ago. Expressed that I was exploring other fitness options and already had a CrossFit and gym membership. She failed to mention that OTF actually does have a “try us for a month” offer and instead signed me up for a rolling subscription (I started with the 4x/month because as I expressed from the very beginning, I was still deciding what made the most sense). After a week and a half, I asked to cancel my membership. I was told that I would be charged for another month because I needed to give 30 days notice. Apparently there is a 3 day window upon initial sign up to cancel a memebership…considering that the manager signed me up, that would have been a pretty relevant fact for her to share rather than expecting me to read it in the fine print somewhere. When I asked via text what next steps were to cancel, I was told to fill out a cancellation form. Again, no forward guidance on how to do this, I had to ask where and how, and what the process was. They then shared that I’d have to come in person to fill out the form —it’s 2022 so I hope they look at ways to make things more convenient for members since this could easily be available online or on the app). I would expect more transparency, especially coming from someone in a position of leadership. OTF may have ended up getting another month of an $89 - I hope that was more worth it to them than a customer left with a pretty disappointed experience. Needless to say, I wouldn’t recommend anyone try this particular Uptown location. It would have been a completely different review if I could have said “I tried it and while it wasn’t something that made sense for me right now, this facility gave me all the information I needed to make a decision up front and I appreciated their service and would love to do a drop in sometime.” Sadly, that was not the case.

Great workout. They have an early class in case you have a hard time getting exercise in during regular hours and the staff is super friendly and fun. Helped get me back into my exercise groove.

I loved it! Brii and Rico were both super welcoming and knowledgeable. They took the time to ask about my goals and walk me through the workout. I've been looking for a cardio/ strength training to add to my weekly workout routine. This is the perfect combo. It was clear to me at all times what I was supposed to be working on. Added technology is a nice touch and will help monitor progress. I have definitely found my new studio!

Joined Orangetheory (home base being this location) a month ago and it was the best decision I’ve made! Great work out with a great team of coaches that are professional, kind and push you to be great! It’s impossible to not work hard and feel accomplished after a class here. I am already seeing a difference in my body/form. Coach Bhavini and Shani are amazing!!! I highly recommend :)

Be prepared for them to make as much money off of you if you are unable to make a class add the actual membership. Additionally, the devices they sell you do not always work in the classes. I was booted off the system in my first class and charged a fee the next day because I couldn’t make a class. However, there is waitlist for these spots and the class was still full. They over sell the classes and charge you based on not making a class. Would not recommend this location or this concept if you have a job, a family or any priorities. I went to one class tried canceling my membership and they are keeping every last penny. Even though they offer everyone a free class which I never got. Don’t waste your money the class are for beginners and people without obligations in their lives.

This is a review of my first and last time doing Orange Theory, and no there is no way I'd come back for a class. They way I was treated before and after working out was like night and day. The person who checked me in was hostile and obviously upset with me (complaining there was not enough time to check me in in 15 minutes and should have been 30 minutes early). I received multiple calls and texts about being early without specifics as to why. I knew the basics of the gym and while I normally arrive 15 minutes to a new studio class, giving 1.5 hours of my time to this seemed absurd. It's also a bad sign to walk into a studio to work out and want to leave without even trying the workout. I'd take lack of attention over hostility any day. There was no one else to help in the studio and my check-in and talk with the instructor took maybe 10 minutes: two short forms waiving the studio's liability, a conversation on why I was there, and giving my height and weight again to calibrate a heart monitor. After class, the person who checked me in was friendly to the point of insincerity. The people at the corner literally ignored me saying I was in a hurry and wouldn't let me leave until I said no to signing up for classes multiple times. I work out to relieve stres, not to create it with people who work at a studio. The actual exercise class was fun (hence giving 2 stars over 1), but it seems like taking classes with this customer service would be a nightmare if I wanted membership.

I’ve been going to OTF now for a little over 6 months and hands down it’s been the best decision I’ve made in my life. My favorite thing about OT is that you workout your entire body in one hour. I also like the over all atmosphere! The best way to describe it is working out at the club. I really enjoy working out to the music they play, it helps give me that extra push when needed and keep me focused. I love the whole heart rate based workout, because it has helped me get to know my body on a whole different level. The coaches and staff are always super helpful and are there to help guide you through your workouts(in case you have certain restrictions). I’ve never felt dumb or awkward asking anything. Most importantly I’ve never had to worry about waiting for someone else to use any equipment or having watch people film and take pics of themselves instead of working out(referring to most paid memberships gyms). People go to OT to actually workout and no phones are allowed. I started doing 2 classes a week and have recently upgraded to unlimited and currently attending 5 times a week. If you’re thinking about it… stop thinking about it and just do it. You’ll have zero regrets and you’re body will thank you for it!
