Can't remember when this machine was fixed and working. Since I renewed my membership early in 2022 it was out and still is. Anybody know how long this has been out?Update, the machine is finally fixed and ready. 06-11-22

As a visitor to club in 2019, I was impressed by the cleanliness of the club, kindness of staff. Looking forward to visiting them again, this coming Friday! Thank you for keeping Planet Fitness alive for us.

This place is "alright", with two exceptions. 1. The shower beds arent always working right, and the staff never knows which ones arent working, even after you've told them. And 2. The wifi never works. You'll call ahead and ask if theh have wifi, and theyll tell you, "yes", but when you get there to use it and the gym, the wifi SSID doesnt even appear, and theyll say, "yea, it's been put for awhile now."

This gym is insensitive and discriminatory towards people with disabilities. I was refused entry due to a limited membership card by a very rude staff member named Leticia.. Instead of her helping me with a membership that would allow me entry she simply refused to allow me to come into the gym m. I told her I was disabled hoping she would help but she simply said I could not enter the gym. I would advise anyone with disabilities or any other forms of physical challenges not go to this gym as they are not considerate or sensitive to people with these particular challenges.

It makes absolutely no sense and is grossly inconvenient that I have to either physically drive over to you guys to cancel or the other option is to write you a letter in the mail. What is this 1921??? Your website & app conveniently have options to downgrade or upgrade membership but absolutely no clear option to cancel.They wouldn't cancel my membership over the phone and demanded I come in person to Daly City in order to cancel. I tried to explain to them over the phone that I now live in the East Bay and is a huge inconvenience for me to have to drive out to Daly City. They were helpless and and didn't offer any solutions.The bathrooms are disgusting!

Such a bad customer service from the manager of this place because she could not give me a settlement to my case as simple as transferring my membership to Los Angeles. her answer was pretty basic, like “get a new membership over there because I can't do anything else for you “ I asked her who else could I contact since I did not want to lose the money that they were taking out of my account when I had canceled the membership since February 2020. It was 3 months plus annual fee. so then her answer was basic and unprofessional like as it is the same that everyone is going to tell you.

Went here for a couple years and moved out of the area in November and called to cancel my membership and they told me all I have to do is send them an email requesting a cancellation which I did. Then they kept charging me so I called again and they told me to send another email doing the same thing, so I did and I’m still being charged. So either the employees answering the phone are completely lying to me or they can’t do their jobs or both... I will be filing a complaint with corporate and doing everything I can to get my money reimbursed. I had always heard planet fitness is the worst about cancelling your membership but now experiencing it firsthand it is driving me crazy.

The staff was very nice and able to help me with everything I needed to start my time here with this gym.If there's one thing wrong, it would be that they have no rowing machines. This is probably my favorite cardio equipment. Please invest in some rowing machines.Also, if it's not too much, ladder climbing machines and rope pulling machines would also be a nice touch.

Very clean. Parking is usually near max capacity when I've been there, but I always manage to find a space within a few minutes searching. Amazing tanning booths and beds (free for black card members, which gives you access to all Planet Fitness gyms that exist, and unlimited grade a tanning beds which you likely only need to tan once a week or less, n it leaves you looking very tan, and not orange). Showers are good. Equipment is very limited, and lots of machines are usually occupied. Which is problematic when they only have one or 2 machines for a particular muscle. On a positive, they do have about 5 smith machine bars, where you can do squats, lunges, deadlifts, bench, shoulder press, calves, shrugs, rows, etc.. At least one of those smiths tend to be available pretty often. But, they need more weight plates. Weight plates are sparse n you usually need to ask another person on a smith machine if you can use some of their limited plates. It's a bit uncomfy, but you don't have much other choice but to hope someones going really light weight, so you can borrow their few extras. Nevertheless, I always manage to get the plates I need pretty easy. But, imo, they need to get hack squat machines, new calf machines, at least 1 more leg press, more chest n shoulder machines, and at least one more abs machine. I usually choose 24hour in Daly City instead, whenever I'm in the area since I have a membership at both. They have more machine varieties that I like to use, more weight plates, and more open/available machines (less packed gym). But, imo, PF DC is still a good gym.

This is a no frills gym. It is reasonably priced and has a good deal of fitness equipment. Staff are Friendly and helpful. This place can get busy on weekday evenings... Just reopened after a long shut down. They are working to add more hours. If you like to workout with a buddy try the black card membership.
