Planet Fitness

The gym on 1-35 in Denton has very warm / hot tanning rooms . The air should be regulated better. Also the front part of gym is very warm all the time .

The Planet Fitness on University is a clean, judgement-free space with many options for everyone. The employees are welcoming and encouraging, but they also have no trouble stepping in when someone is causing issues for other guests.

Horrible If I could give a double zero I would. Went into planet fitness this morning to verify questions because it's difficult to get someone from corporate customer service by phone.I don't want the app on my phone and asked if I signed up could I use a key card. I was sarcastically told No.I then asked if I could use my phone number as I have always done in North Carolina. I was told No again.That the only way I could use this gym if I downloaded the planet fitness app to myphone. On planet fitness questions format they say that I can use my phone number to check in.

This location is always so clean and everyone is friendly and helpful. I love the new equipment they have. I go here 3-4 times a week depending on my schedule and I look forward to it each time!

Definitely worth it to sign up for the black card membership. Good selection of machines, clean facility and locker rooms.I like the tanning also but one thing that I don't like is the staff didn't seem to know hardly anything about the beds. I'm a very experienced tanner so I'm pretty familiar with the beds. But I asked an employee which was the lowest level because it had been a bit since I tanned and she didn't know anything about the different levels or even the basics. It doesn't make sense to me to not know very much about tanning beds when you work somewhere that has them. And the staff not being properly educated about the beds is dangerous because the very first time I ever tanned the lady suggested 10min knowing it was 1st time and I didn't even know I needed lotion either, I was only like 13 and my mom had to sign something so I could do it but I was out of school that whole next week because I literally couldn't even put clothes on so that's the only thing that I don't like

I'm so disappointed in the recent updates. They pretty much crammed the stretching area with machines. There are duplicates of each one. Everyone is so crammed in there, it makes for an uncomfortable experience whether stretching it using machines. They've taken away a relaxing space for regulars just to advertise "look at all these MaChINes!!!". There's no other sense in it. What has been a relaxing routine for years has turned into nonsense. At least get rid of the ab rollers. No one uses them and they are horrible for your back. It's such an albatross with unnatural movement. But alas, as with all things corporate America, it will fall on deaf ears... So I come to this google space to rant.

I enjoy the Planet Fitness experience. It is cost efficient and allows me to work out wherever I am.

Brooke, the manager, was super cool, laid back and helpful. No high pressure sales tactics. Spotlessly clean equipment and facilities. The only gym that doesn't "smell like a gym" :)

Good little gym. Lots more cardio than weight lifting, so maybe not the best if you're wanting to be a body builder. But has everything I need for basic exercise
