I do not recommend getting a contract membership here. We are moving and had to cancel our memberships. Not only did we have to pay two yearly membership fees, but two monthly fees, and two $67 cancellation fees. That was an expensive mistake. Don't sign contracts. Eventually everyone has to leave the gym for one reason or another and they know this. Otherwise, it's a great place to work out. Always clean, and just a great workout experience with the variety of high level equipment.

Love this facility. Staff is always polite (when your polite to them), sad to see some people disparage the staff. Machines are always in good condition and showers are always available when I need them. Good JOB PF!!

Terrible gym. The staff could care less about anything that isn't their cell phones in front of their faces. I signed up on September 14th, my first monthly draft from my account wasn't due till August 14th, yet they tried to deduct from my account 4 separate times in that month time frame. In October they billed me $40 for my annual fee, and $24 for my monthly fee, I went in the next day to work out and they told me I owed another $24 monthly fee even though they just took my money out the day before and wouldn't let me work out, even though I showed them the charge on my card. Ridiculous. Never going back go this gym again.

Not a bad place but they don't enforce their own rules. Especially for the 30 min workout room. Always full of people doing "their own thing"!! Once you get told to Shut the F up by another member among other nice comments....time to call it quits!!! Would NOT return!!

Employee's are friendly and helpful. Location is great, near both UNT & TWU. Once the dreadful construction of US-380 (University) gets completed, traffic won't be much of a problem. This is a great gym for anyone looking to get in shape. Also you can't beat $10/month.

This has been an excellent option for me with my work schedule having multiple gyms in many locations to finish the day. You have the equipment to do the job, plus all the perks of massage chairs, etc.My only reason for not giving 5 stars is that the locations vary quite a bit on layout, and some have items such as 360 workout while others don't.

This location has the benefit of not being in a rough neighborhood like a lot of the other locations seem to be.That being said. The equipment always seems to be "out of order" and sometimes it takes over a week for it to get fixed. The showers are disgusting. I saw someone's dirty underwear that they abandoned in the shower. I told the staff and the manager said she would get someone to clean it up that evening. How about now? It's gross now, it should be cleaned now. Not later. They used to have someone constantly cleaning the locker rooms and the staff would regularly go around and wipe down the equipment.Well I guess it's asking too much for the staff to get out from behind the counter and wipe the equipment down. Being Denton I'm surprised there isn't a tip jar at the counter. Ha ha.Anyway.It's cheap and you get what you pay for I guess.

This is the worst Planet Fitness I've seen. If I had not already been a member when I moved to Denton, there is no way I would have joined this club. It is poorly maintained, dirty, most of the staff members are rude, and the bathrooms have been completely out of order twice in the last few months. After discovering a colony of black worms on the floor of one of the showers, I lodged a complaint with corporate. Very little was done. The floors of the showers still have what appears to be black mold and corrosion. I wish I could cancel my membership, but that would cancel it back home too...where the Planet Fitness is clean and amazing. I'm stuck for now.

This review is also a question and at the same time a complaint. I personally haven't had any trouble with anybody there, the employees are very nice and I love what planet fitness is about, however, there have been times in which there are certain people doing exactly what a "lunk" does and no one says anything to them. In one occasion, I saw this guy get yelled at by a girl who was wearing shorts that barely covered her genitalia and a sports bra that appear to be way too small for her falsies. She was yelling at him because she walked away from the machine she was using and she took a good 5 minutes to get back to it, by the time she did, this guys was already using it and she bitched him out and made him leave the machine. What the hell is that about? I thought this was a judgment free zone and one of the rules was not to dress like you need all the attention in the world. This situation has happened with men as well, men that are grunting and dropping their weights and drinking out of a gallon jug. I'm a member and I respect the terms and conditions, but I would like to see this terms and conditions getting enforced because in the end that's why all of us members decided to be part of this gym. Again I don't have a complaint about the employees' attitude towards people, but someone needs to enforce the rules at that place. Thank you for reading this I hope someone gets back to me.

I've been to this location twice since joining - once on a Sunday afternoon and once on a Monday morning around 10am. It wasn't very busy either time and I had no trouble finding machines or space. The place has numerous ellipticals, treadmills, recumbent bikes, those gazelle-type machines, etc. The ones I used seemed high quality. There are TVs you can watch, with sound if you plug your headphones into a machine. There are a number of those strength training machines that have a selector pin for the weight. I don't really use those. They have a set of low-weight free weights, plus long rows of heavier weights. I saw that they went up to at least 75 lbs, which is plenty for me but not enough for a real weight lifter. They appeared to have squat and bench press racks but you should check if this is important to you. There are a few of those adjustable benches near the free weights.Another room has a 30-minute circuit of weight machines and steps for stepping on in between.A third room has various ab machines and stands, a small area with mats for stretching (this could definitely be bigger), and a fancy structure like a small jungle gym especially for stretching.I used a massage chair today (free if you get the black card membership; I think otherwise you can't use it at all). It was pretty fun - not the same as a professional massage (obviously) but it was a nice way to relax. The music at the gym is a good volume (not too loud unless you hate pop music) but does have commercials. They advertise free personal training, but I think what they mean is that someone will show you how to use a machine, not that you can really replace having a personal trainer. I haven't tried it, though, so I don't know. There doesn't seem to be a surplus of staff there. They do have free classes included with any level of membership, but I haven't taken one. It's very clean and seems well-kept.Basically there's nothing that special about the place but if you want a gym to work out in and you're not a serious weight lifter, it's cheap, clean, and friendly. And open 24 hours. You can't beat that.
