Dirty, broken equipment, always crowded can't get a workout in. Pool, hot tube and steam often down for repair. People urinate in steam room. You get the point

I probably should've done a day pass before committing to a year but guess I'm dumb. I think any planet fitness is cleaner and more upkept than this gym. Kind of dirty and a lot of broken equipment. Hoping the one by my work is better because I kind of would rather avoid this specific gym.

Downey gym is not maintaining their equipment. People have been complaining for over a month about unsafe equipment on the gym floor. Members should not have to bring normal accessories and buy them themselves When they pay for a membership.

The staff tries their best to keep up with all the dirty people that go to this gym. The place of business should not be docked stars because gym members are dirty. It's actually kept pretty clean for it being a gym. It's not a spa. Or course you'll have the typical smell of B.O. it's a gym!Highly recommend this place amongst other's!

I paid around 300 for the yearly membership, and I can take two people every time I go.They have a variety of classes (yoga, body combat, pilates, zumba, etc.) and you can go to different locations

Great place to workout but the machines are often out of service. The bathrooms are dirty along with their showers and the handles are often broken on the shower doors. For the price they charge you'd think the company would've upgraded their facilities already.

The downey gym has old equipment and many of the machines, including treadmills and elliptical machine are broken. Unfortunately the number of broken machines is increasing and the waiting time is also increasing because of the limited machines that actually work. You would expect that with such high membership fees this wouldn't be the case. Fortunately I have a planet fitness membership which is far less expensive, and the machines they have are much newer.

Recently moved to the area and do to my busy schedule this gym was the better option. Big gym great equipment options. But a little outdated. The free weight selection is not that great. it's always a struggle to find a pair(at least on the first floor). They can definitely use more benches, too. The gym looks like it could use a little tlc throughout the day. Just my personal experience.

Downey get it together. As you can clearly see, multiple stair masters and treadmills are and have been out of service for weeks!!
