Summer camp was the worst experience that a 6 year old could have! My son was humiliated by the camp councilor and then when I went to speak to the director about what I witnessed they brushed me off and said someone would be in touch… that was a month ago. If you care about your kids think twice before you send them to this summer camp.

I have been robbed twice in the last 11 months while at this gym, costing me in excess of $250. The police officers who responded both times said this was a common occurrence at this Y. No one from the Y has apologized to me or even acknowledged that these events took place or that they intended to do anything about the ridiculously bad security.

I have been going to the gym for more than 20 years I have certifications in fitness and a past in training and instruction this gym is by far the best I have been to not only do they have a nice freeweight training room area but the staff is very professional and personable as well always remembering your name when you walk in and out of the door. I have taken Caroline's water aerobics class its so fun and a great workout too. This is my favorite YMCA locations have been to all of them and this is my first choice! The only improvement ymca can make here is better air circulation seems this is a issue with all the old building designs I usually go in the morning to avoid it.

The Y continues to raise prices for memberships at an unsustainable and unrealistic rate. Their current $78/month rate for a single adult puts them in line with the likes of Olympic Athletic Club, Pro Club and several of the other high end private gyms in the area (Of which they are not) and then they also have the nerve to ask for yet more money for charitable contributions to the Y.Meanwhile as the fees go up, what do you get?- No towel service and limited hours- No one enforcing the rules for age limits in the fitness areas, most of the locations in Everett, Mukilteo, and Monroe are basically uncontrolled teen/kid hangouts goofing off and running around in the afternoons- Equipment is often dirty, run down or broken (Maybe you should try enforcing the "no street or non-athletic shoes" rule to keep mud/dirt/ and now winter slush/salt off of your equipment or make sure kids aren't treating the cardio equipment like toys")- Very little enforcement of the "No cellphone usage in fitness area" policy- Rarely do you see staff/trainers out in the fitness areas checking on people, organizing equipment, or cleaning. Glad I'm paying for your staff to sit around on their computers or gossip at the front desk. While I would love to keep supporting the Y as I have done for years it no longer makes sense. The Y is no longer upholding it's mission of being a place for everyone to pursue a healthier lifestyle. Instead I feel like I am being used as a single adult to subsidize all of the their other programs while the quality of the experience in their main fitness center's deteriorates.

Good local gym. Friendly people and staff. Clean equipment. Nice basketball court and pool.Started working out here back in highschool, but went elsewhere becaues of the limitations on the weightlifting area. It's just too small once you hit an intermediate level of training. I've always wished they expanded their building and they have the real estate to do it since no one ever parks in the back where the gym is nor the side of the building. Theres definite room to grow.Only giving it a 3 star because a limitation on space, but more importantly the membership dues are crazy compared to other corporate gyms. I still don't get why the YMCA as a company make you pay more the older you get. I'm not paying $80-100 per month on a smaller gym.
