Edge is a great gym with lots of amenities. My wife and I joined because of their classes and child care. Lots of free weights and plenty machines and cardio equipment. The gym is well maintained and clean.

They never told me the details about cancelling when I asked when my membership ended. I am now being charged 3 months in running due to the negligence of the so called employees. When I addressed this issue I was told "ooops".Money hungry, greedy corporation.

Outside of the poor music selection in the background. I love this gym! Just wish it played more hip hop rap or even. Some up tempo workout music. Love the tv in the sauna area. Also how modern everything looks as well as the turf area. Have a lot of weight selections as far as dumbbells. Squat racks are always full.

Update: Rates have been raised $5 across the board. Basic memberships with contract are now $14.99/monthBasic $9.99 membership costs between $220-250 per year after their starting and annual fees.Join the gym expect to pay upfront:Enrollment Fee $50.00 (they advertise $1 but good luck)1st Month Fee $9.99Processing Fee $14.50then 61 days later another $50 "ENhAnCeMeNt" fee12 months x 10 = $120 + $50 + 14.50 + $50 = $235/year for base membership which is about $20/month. Do not be fooled by their pricing. They will also let their automated system double bill you on the month after signing up. They will not correct it until you call. Now that you're signed up and in the gym feel free to enjoy the well cleaned, but not well maintained equipment. Then head to the back of the gym near the squat racks for a putrid yet lingering smell eroding through the thick brick walls from the dumpsters just outside that are shared with the movie theatre.

It’s a decent community gym with above average equipment if we says average is a planet fitness. Squat racks, bench press, plenty of cardio machines, decent accessory machines, and turf available the latter which is nice for warm up and cool downs. They also have a women’s dedicated fitness room in the woman’s locker room which is nice for comfortability from time to time. Movie theater cardio room is a cool concept.I’m not confident that at this point the gym is thoroughly cleaned as often as it should be. Mats are pretty gross and don’t seem to be washed or replaced often - bring your own. Wipes need to be replaced more often at peak times. Bathroom cleaning after peak time after people get off work isn’t the best either. Lockers could be wiped out periodically in the winter time as well. Not everyone here wipes down the equipment after use so I try to avoid touching my face and remain diligent about hand washing and wiping down my phone after a work out.I signed a two year contract in 2019 that should have expired in 2021 but due to covid and automatic suspension of payments my contract was pushed another 6 months which I did not appreciate lack of notice for earlier on. I would have been fine continuing to pay during that period as I still went masked up. I’ll be interested to moving on from the gym come lapse of my “modified” contract in the spring to a smaller gym with specific focus as I’ll be moving out of the Farmington area. The gym is definitely getting ridiculously crowded on weekdays Monday nights to be specific.Staff seems nice and I haven’t had a rude interaction to date so that’s positive.

This gym is not bad but they hide fees in the membership contact that they don’t tell you about when you sign up, why should I have to pay a $50 enhancement fee for the cost of the building + my monthly membership fee which is $34 I don’t own the place😕 they are really anxious to get more ppl to sign up so they won’t tell you! $84.00 for a basic gym is crazy, I can see themLosing a lot of customers because of this.

I enjoy the gym facility, but Danielle at the Farmington Hills location approached me and told me that I can’t show my mother (71yrs) and my aunt (63yrs) how to use equipment or workouts. Though I was working out as well she threatened me and told me that SHE will terminate my membership for training.I wasn’t training because for one I’m not a certified trainer, I was simply showing them workouts and making sure they’re not hurting themselves. She then continued to tell me she’s the general manager and when I called they informed me that she was only the assistant manager. To make matters worse, there were actually other non-Black trainers training people. I wasn’t doing that, I was simply helping my elderly mother and aunt, yet because we were Black and I wasn’t in her mind working out with them I was pulled to the side and absolutely embarrassed because her disposition was horrible.Again I’m not a trainer, but the fact she made an assumption and told me I can’t help or show workouts to family or friends was insulting.I will be sending this message to the next chain of command and ask that Danielle is placed in bias class and also briefed on her customer service skills. I recommend she utilize the resources to help train her in how she talks and approaches guests at the facility in the future.Do better Danielle!!!!

I thought this was a good gym but it’s not. The cleaning wipes are almost always empty and the staff does not clean equipment as often as planet fitness does. Which is disgusting especially during covid. The comment about cancelling a membership is also true. I moved out of state and it was pure hell trying to cancel this membership. They will continue to throw in late fees although I sent them a lease agreement showing them I moved. This place is a scam!

Very bad experience would not recommend this gym to anyone. If you see this gym run. No concern for people. I was told during tour and sign up that if I moved it would be no problem to cancel membership. I had to go through several hoops and to no satisfaction told that I had had to be more than several mile away from any of there facilities and that they plan on opening up a new gym that may be closed this summer mean while have to drive 50 minutes round trip so have to have 2 hours available to work out. To customer care , concern or compassion. A total scam. I feel totally missed informed and miss led.

Very bad experience. While signing up for the gym Membership they have mentioned that I can Cancel the membership anytime. After a year when I went down to cancel my membership, the representative told me that they would cancel and I am good. 6 months later I get a call from the Debt collector saying that I have a debt at edge fitness. When I called the edge fitness team, they said that the cancellation is not easy and I need to sign the cancellation form. Their representative did not mention anything when I went down to cancel and now they charged me 635$. its a fraud. don't go to this gym. Their represenatives hardly no the policies or they are just trying to pull money from us in this way. BAD EXPERIENCE
