Have to blast my headphones so I don't have to hear the same Playlist everyday. I asked to have them turn it down but instead they blast their music like it's a night club. Majority of people wear their headphones and go there to work out and not listen to the same annoying songs. I understand that people may not like the same music choice as me, but then again hearing WAP played everyday around the same time is simply not cool. Change the station at least one a month and just lower the volume, it's not much to ask from your daily customers. Other than that gym has everything you might need to get a good workout in.

I like edge fitness soo much. The gym is clean the stuff is friendly. You can find different machines and heavy weights, they are perfect in everything except thier working hours, on weekends. Their working hours is baaaaad, they need at least extend it to 9pm on Saturday and Sunday !!

Facilities are decent besides the putrid smell that always lingers in the back area. Mask mandate is not properly enforced at this location. Showers close well before closing time, and management will NOT respond to any questions or complaints, despite several attempts in communication. Membership packages feel scammy and they try and harass you into personal training packages. Would not recommend.

I canceled my membership after they closed due to covid and was told it was all set. 6 months later I see they are still pulling money out of my account and they will not cancel or refund. They don't even take your call if you say you want to cancle. They've taken over $100 from me without consent and I'm no closer to canceling. They actully make you provide proof that you moved in order to cancle, this is so ridiculous.

Nice spacious sport club, however, exercise equipment isn't adjustable to a different people heights. Some good classes but really not enough of them especially at the evenings. Hopefully it'll be more in the fall. Membership freeze isn't easy though, and its necessary at times.

I wanted to give this club a chance since they were not too far away from my home, but it was the worst decision I have ever made. This review is only towards the business practices that Edge conducts, not the actual facility or staff members. I have never set foot in the club, so I can not judge either one of those. Amidst the pandemic, this club is still charging its members. There is not way to cancel a membership unless you pay the remaining amount owed off, or if you move more than 15 miles away from a particular location (Even though 30% of the Michigan work force has lost their job!) and you are basically locked in for the entire term. You can not downgrade your membership very easily either. It took me an hour calling multiple times, because so many people are trying to cancel their memberships right now, and are going through this same experience that I am. It is very unprofessional, and just wrong. The clubs leadership team should know that many people cant afford a $50 gym membership at this time. The leadership team should be aware that people have family members affected by the pandemic and need to use their monetary resources to help support those unwell family members. Instead they continue to embrace the same business practices as if nothing has happened over the past 7 months. I was told on 2 separate occasions that the auto-renew feature would be turned off on my account...it wasn't! I was told on 2 separate occasions when my membership would expire...both of those were incorrect. This is the only organization I have come across, that has not pivoted their TOS and business practices to be more accommodating during these difficult times. I will NEVER become a member of this club, and with the influence I have, will never promote this place either.

I have never utilized the gym after joining and they still take money from my account. When I signed up I believe I had just gotten over Covid my reason for wanting to tone up. Covid was announced and the gym closed when it reopen I did not feel comfortable attending and still don't! All I've heard from them is what's in there contract for canceling. I'm not comfortable with going to the doctor unless it's absolutely necessary so no doctors note for me. It's a shame there so money hungry and not concerned with how their customers feel. There contract was drawn up when we live in a different world. We were mask free! They took there annual cleaning fee and continues to charge my account. I signed up and returned for my assessment and was told it was $500-800 a month additional for a trainer. I didn't go back and then it was Covid. I'm so glad I didn't let Will convince me into signing for 2 years. I'm sharing my feelings with everyone in my community about how you like taking people's money especially seniors. No one has money to just throw away and unless I close my bank account that's what I'm doing here!

This place looks good, but I think this place is not favorable to me. Due to the persisting risk of the COVID-19 pandemic, I just don't want to continue the membership until the risk is totally gone in one or two years.I also have some alternative method that works with me. (Home training , Apartment Gym, and Nintendo Switch Ring Fit)I joined this gym one or two years ago through the sales person, who was the staff of my previous gym. (I switched from the previous gym because of the new horrible manager of that gym and his horrible management.)This place is managed very well. In other words, facilities are clean, and supplies such as cleaning wipes are usually well replenished. (The supply was little bit in short after the COVID-19 pandemic especially on 2020 Jan - Mar)The one critical good advantage is having massage machines. Although the number of machines are so limited (one chair massage and one Hydromassage bed), but they were so good to do after I complete my exercise routine. They also has some cardio exercise room with theater. Although I cannot choose the movie I can watch, but they usually play fine movies to exercise with. There is no subtitle on the screen, so non-native English users might have some difficulty to watch though. The facility is good with fine equipments. There are tissues and hair dryers to use at the locker room. The shower room also looks good, but it is hard to find the space to hang towels and clothes while I am taking shower after the exercise. I have to be careful to avoid water from touching clothes and towels. One disadvantage for me is that the cost of personal training.I don't know how other gyms charge for personal training, but the cost of that is clearly expensive than my previous gym. The total cost with personal training would be similar with the cost of any other premium/luxury gyms.Personal Trainer usually sells nutritions and protein supplements a lot, so you may need to speak up to stop selling. Also, they are so hard on the fitness goal and so obsessed about this. I sometimes have low energy to lift the weight, and some of my muscle are not strong enough, but he pushed so hard, so this attitude discourages my motivation to keep up with. Also, I was not able to use the equipment of 'special Edge Strong Class room' while the class is not ongoing. The equipment outside the classroom is lacked, and the space for stretching is not wide enough to me. There are lots of people there, so it is difficult to relax.I think it is better to stretch and relay at home with my own equipments.Staffs are generally kind and great.Quitting membership is kind of a hassle. You have to contact the gym staff for detailed instruction, but you have to deal with ABC Finance company, which is governing basic membership. You have to contact that company via email, and they are trying to avoid taking your request. You may need to take strong stance based on their response.I will keep my eyes on my credit card account to check whether they charge the fee or not after I terminate the membership.

Yeah the gym is awesome with good rates. Employees on-site are fine but the contracts are TERRIBLE to get out of. The customer care won’t help on the phone and you can’t understand them like they’re calling from BFE. Made me send them documents 3 separate times even though I sent them exactly what is explained. Definitely cancel in person if you need to before you move or it’s a hassle.

I absolutely love love love this gym! I just joined and this gym has everything! It has a movie theater, a sauna, a women’s only fitness area, clean locker rooms and bathrooms as well as showers, many updated and new workout equipment, spin classes, and sooo much more! They even have a shake area where all of there shakes are $6 and they are delicious. I’m definitely not over exaggerating about this place! It’s one of the best gyms I have ever been to and I can’t wait to get started with my new fitness journey!
