We relocated to another area. My wife cancelled her membership and the very next day we had a$39.00 charge on our account. I was told that it was a recurring membership fee and had my wife cancelled three days earlier we would not have been charged. I was also told even though we cancelled the membership and the charge was for the upcoming year, they could not credit the account. I have never dealt with a company that could not credit you back money. planet Fitness in Kernersville felt$ 39.00 was more important than doing what was right.

This Planet Fitness is 100x better than my home club in Chicago. That is a travesty because the facility in Chicago was build from the ground up and cleanliness is a big problem for them.Initially you will be deceived by the space and machines available if you judge only from the outside. The use of space here is exceptional. Machines are always clean and in good working order, bathroom smells fresh, and water machine for water bottles are just a few things that makes working out here a pleasant experience. Can't speak on weights or lifting area except...they have one.Hope this level of excellence never changes 👍👍

I love Planet Fitness of Kernersville! I've never felt comfortable in gyms, but this place is different! It just has a different feel to it...The staff does an absolutely amazing job of keeping it so clean and neat...and they're so welcoming and friendly! They're extremely helpful and knowledgeable!

I went in for my first workout on a Monday evening after work. The place was jam packed. I have never seen a gym so full. People waiting on almost every machine. The lighting in the place is ridiculously low and not energizing at all.They have cleaning stations throughout with paper towels and bottles of cleaning solution. That's good because I didn't see any of the half dozen or more PF staff cleaning anything. The machines could use some cleaning. Wear gloves!The main reason I signed up was to get tanning at $20 a month and the occasional workout. As expected, the tanning beds were full as well. The kind young lady did say I could wait in a waiting room for my turn if I wanted.Monday night is a popular night and probably not the best night to go for the first visit but if the volume was any indication of the rest of the week then I will be cancelling my membership. Before you sign up go visit during the hours you will be working out and see how busy they are and then decide if a cut-rate membership is for you. The black membership is still a great deal for access to tanning beds 24/7 but be sure to go later in the evening.

Recently renovated with new equipment - ropes etc. Overall this place remains very busy during the evenings due to the size and probably location.Very wide variety of machine equipment but taking one star off due to Smith machine in gym being instead of barbells.

I stopped in on August 11th to cancel my services. Here it is October 19th and they are still drafting my account. I've called multiple times to get this issue resolved, and EVERY TIME I call I'm being told that the manager is unavailable. Really? Every single time? And the last time I called the girl at the desk told me that there was nothing they could do even though I have proof of their error!! Like hell! I was thinking about coming back to them in the future, but now no thank you!!

AVOID AT ALL COST!!!!! I brought my little nephew in there and I was going to show him around the planet and try to boost his self esteem. Walked into the planet and asked if they would let us try it out. 15$ Each for a 1 day pass. I asked for a military offer and nothing was given. If you don't support our troops your not getting my business.Go right down the street and join Triangle fitness. My people there will take care of you. Plus, it's a way better gym.

Too small , this gym no circuit machines workout, no hydro massage, layout of gym offers no privacy for private workout. Equipment not all working. Finally horrible music selection!!! Couldn't enjoy the massage chair music is not relaxing at all. I won't return to this gym location. New to Greensboro area so was disappointed.

The Staff at the Kernersville location is super sweet! This is probably the cleanest gym I've ever been too! Showers always clean! Staff is always working hard. If I ever have any fitness questions the trainer is knowledgeable and very helpful! It is nice they are 24/7 also!

I joined the Kernersville location January 2013, after coming from the High Point location. I first want to start off with the POSITIVE things about the Kernersville location.1.The gym is very large, and opened. Iv never felt "smothered" by others or a machine while working out.2. The amount of machine's they have is great! I think they have over 20 treadmills,olypticals, bicycles, and other cardio machines. As well as, 2 machines of each kind for legs, arms, and abs. There has never been a time I'v had to wait.3. The locker room (for girls that I know of) is ALWAYS clean, refreshing, and very spacious.4. I always see staff walking around refilling sanitation bottles along with paper towels , emptying trash.. and NEVER dirt on the floor.5. They have a wide variety of flat screens with different channels that you may watch, as well as listen with your headphones plugged up to some machines while working out.6. I like that the tanning beds are right at the front counter along with the entrance. At the High Point location, I would have to walk through the gym (between machines) to get to the tanning beds which were in the back. And at this location you can just walk right in.7. They have 6 tannign beds all together, three twenty minute beds, and then three twelve minute beds, which are my favorite. I can get fairly dark within 4 times.The NEGATIVE things about the Kernersville location:1. The staff is VERY rude. Every time I go, every staff member seems to have an attitude, NO SMILE, and even better, never seems to pay attention to you when you need help. There has been PLENTY of occasions that I have needed assistance with buying tanning lotion, or to tell a staff member which bed Im going in, or waiting to buy a drink..while they KNOW I'M STANDING THERE, and they are on THERE CELL PHONES! The worst, is the 3rd shift staff. Everytime I ask a question (which has only been 3-4 times) the staff is VERY short answered. They are not friendly abbout asking you for your eye wear, and lord forbid you forget your gym access card and they have to type in your last name.2. The tanning beds, you have to clean yourself. My personal opinion with being VERY familiar with tanning beds, and the sanitation of them, I think the staff should clean them. I always clean mine after and before. The top of the beds where the lights are, are filthy with lotion due to some users not knowing to clean that part, because of course, we dont really notice it.3. Lastly, the gym is very crowded between 3-8 p.m everyday, and you can never find a parking space.I'm grading this gym poor/fair because of the staff. I rather be greeted with a smile and actually be respected, than to feel the need to complain every time I go in. I defiantly think they need to re-hire a whole new staff that will "pay attention" and be friendly.
