As much money as I pay every month, I really wish I felt better about spending it here. After a particularly rough experience, here's my overall feedback from 5 years of membership.-The guest and travel policy is hilarious given the membership fee. Fortunately, a good bit of the front desk people don't enforce it. I don't even use guest passes anymore, but they would have gained several members if they'd let people come and make it part of their routine. If traveling, there's a 50/50 chance you can get in and most of the other ones i've been too were nicer, cleaner, and better maintained.-I can count the number of friendly, warm, welcoming, and helpful staff on one hand. Most of them clearly aren't happy to be there.-The cleanliness of the steam room, showers, and locker room are mediocre at best.-It seems that the most frequently broken equipment is "repaired" almost as a joke- only to break again the following week. It's been 10 years y'all, time to replace some pieces.-The cafe is overpriced.-The spa is decent at best.-Prime hours are uncomfortably overcrowded- fortunately I find myself there outside of that window usually.-The worst part of this place is the tv's- they are nearly inescapable. If I wanted to be berated with partisan 24 hour news cycle garbage, trashy towing company or bounty hunting shows, or infomercials, i'd have cable. Get with the "heathly lifestyle" message y'all- trash the tv's and turn down the bad music (or at least have the same thing playing throughout the facility).-The only redeeming qualities are Faith, the guest services team member- who has always been super friendly and helpful- the decent pool/hot tub crowds, the eucalyptus steam room (though often dirty, its been wonderful for my asthma), the abundant parking, and the variety of equipment (though a lot of it is frequently in disrepair).

I have been a member as well as team member and this location is disappointing.Staff members are not treated well and the communication is horrible. Was promised email answer in 24 hours which did not happen.

Membership fees cost an arm and a leg but you still can't even do what you want at the gym because it's too busy and all of the equipment is occupied. While the resort feel is nice, it's unacceptable to not be able to do what you want for how much you pay. The only non-busy times are weekdays between 11am-2pm, super early weekday mornings, or Sunday mid morning. Literally all other times, it's packed and unpleasant.

I absolutely love this gym. I have been a member here for several years, and love the variety! From Hot Yoga to free weights to HIIT, they’ve got it all… with fantastic instructors!!

Updated to 1 star due to the stupidity of their guest policy. Apparently “guests” can only come once every 60 days (which is news to us). My mom swims so I bring her when she’s up visiting her granddaughter (she lives nowhere near a lifetime facility). Ludicrous policy for the membership price.First class equipment, instructors, and facilities (if you're a swimmer, this is the place to be in Birmingham).Seedy (at best) management and billing practices. This place would run over their own mothers (repeatedly) for an extra dollar or two out of you.

It's a decent gym but they need more classes offered between 1pm-4pm.

Great gym with lots of offerings. Expensive membership options. I wish it was a bit cleaner (especially the pool area)
