Genesis Health Clubs - Independence

I have a great time working out here! The place looks great, has all the machines and equipment you'd need. The trainer Alex Dillon has been guiding me through my fitness journey for the last few months. I feel great and my confidence is up. Big thank you to Alex for all the hard work he's done.

Cleanest gym in Missouri. Staff is friendly, machines are cutting edge. Literally, the best gym I've ever been to. Decided to get a personal trainer and ended up with the best, Jon Dandurand. With Jon's help I been able to meet and exceed my fitness goals. He is a very likable guy and keeps me motivated even when I feel like giving up.

The gym has a lot of variety of equipment that is kept clean and in good repair. People of all ages and fitness levels can be found working towards their goals. My personal trainer Caleb has been amazing to teach me exercises that are safe and reasonable for a 50-something year old who is just embarking on formal fitness and wellness journey.

I love going to this gym its always clean. Staff here are very nice and friendly. Tyler who is my personal trainer is amazing, he always keep me motivated. He cares about his clients a lot & he always makes my personal training sessions more fun even the group glasses. He is the best trainer at Genesis!

I'm infuriated with this place. Signed up online then decided to use a different gym. I went in to cancel and they said the manager wasn't there but he'd call me. A couple weeks went by so I came back in. I noticed they charged me more to sign up than they advertised also.He said I'd be charged another month because I didn't give 30 day notice....I did give 30 day notice. Your employee or you just dropped the ball.I won't stop the negative reviews everywhere until you make this right.

Belonged to this gym when I used to live in the area. Was back for a short time; staff was professional, heard out my needs, and helped me with a very reasonable plan. The upgrades to the gym since my earlier membership are great, with new equipment and a much more spacious layout. If I ever relocate back, this is the long term gym I will patronize.

I have nothing but good things to say about this gym! It is further of a drive more me to go to Genesis, but it’s well worth it in my opinion. Very professional and kind when working with you. Equipment is in great shape and everything you could ever need is there.I started working with Jon, one of the personal trainers in April and he’s honestly the best. Very knowledgeable and keeps you on track with your goals!! Great guy and has really been a blessing to my gym goals!Overall, I think the facility and staff are wonderful! You should try them out!

Nice gym but gets way to busy and some members want to sit on machines all day and talk. It’s hard to get a good workout half the time and forget trying to use the fake turf field they put in as the trainers have group classes there. Overall nice new equipment since the remodel but would really benefit from opening another location as this is the only one for all of independence and the surrounding city’s. Lees summit is a smaller city and has two gyms.

Great place to spend hours working out, playing basketball, doing cardio or swimming. Also have great shakes and de costumer service is amazing.

I was in the city for business and was in need of a great place to workout while there. Matt was able to get me setup and treated me as if I was a long term member. I have yet to come by a gym that offers everything that they do! If you live in the area or just traveling through, make sure you stop by and give them a go. Thanks again Matt, hope all is well.
