I’ve been going to Bags and Barbells since it opened and as a former athlete, I gotta say, this is the best workout I’ve had in a long time! This workout challenges every muscle in your body! And while it’s tough, it’s also fun…that’s because of Marc. Marc is so skilled and so knowledgeable about the human body and how it works. He develops personalized workouts that are effective for your body type to get the most effective results. He also turned me on to rolling to break up my fascia…what a difference it’s made and how my body moves. Not only will he make you work hard, get ready to laugh hard too…what a character! Try this place out…definitely won’t be disappointed.

Marc is one of the greatest trainers I have ever known- he is just the right blend of fun and professional- super friendly without ever letting you off too easy! He is great with both adults and young people- my son started training with him when he was just 14- he had all the normal pubescent body issues- and within a year he was stronger, leaner and much more confident. Marc also goes above and beyond and treats his trainers and clients like family. He has a heart of gold… but don’t get it twisted- he will push you harder than you ever thought you could go! And you’ll hate/love him for it.

I was a member of Marc’s gym in the Bay Area, CA and did personal training with Marc. Marc is an awesome trainer, who supports you wherever you are in your fitness journey and is dedicated to his members. His workouts are fresh and challenging, his gym is always spotless and his humor and positive energy makes working out fun. He genuinely cares about his members and makes a consistent effort to suggest modifications that fit their fitness goals and needs. I always learned something new from his passion for and knowledge of holistic wellbeing and health. I highly recommend training with Marc!

As an active senior who prioritizes nutrition and fitness, I am extremely happy to have a new gym/workout studio in the area. Having had Marc as a former personal trainer, I know how knowledgeable and devoted he his to fitness and health, and especially his enthusiasm to help others to get stronger and healthier. When he was my trainer, he first assessed my physical abilities and weaknesses in areas that needed improvement. He identified that I needed to work on my overall strength and balance. He has a wonderful personality and, and after initially speaking to him a while at the gym, I realized just how much functional training experience he has and how much he knows. As he worked with me, he helped motivate me to push myself to discover just how much more I could actually do. He’s hard-working and has an enthusiastic fitness and nutritional ethos that is really wonderful. I’m sure his family is very proud of him. Anyone who has the opportunity to look for a local gym? Should definitely check him out because he’s no joke and you’ll definitely get a good workout with a trained professional. Who knows what he’s doing and can help you to push through your limits.You’ll like him, and he’s serious and enthusiastic about what he does, and about getting the results you want.

This is the best workout. It's fun and highly effective. Mark has a lot of knowledge. He always managed to make the workout fun. If you want to get in the best shape of your life this is the place!

Can’t speak highly enough of the professionalism and attention to detail of Marc. He really knows how to push you to your limits and tailors each workout to how your body is feeling. Can’t recommend him or this studio enough!

Marc is one of the best trainers I’ve ever come across he really knows his stuff he has helped me with workouts, nutrition, & recovery…if he tells you to roll…roll, it hurts so good! You won’t regret a single minute!
