Genesis Health Clubs - Power & Light

In KC and wanted to get in a workout. Went to Onelife fitness. Immediately impressive with how clean it was. Was greeted by Tyler Gormley who was very welcoming and pleasant. Got in an awesome workout with great equipment!! I’ll definitely be back to put in some more great work!!!

Great gym! Plenty of options, super clean and tons of space. I visited from out of town and will be coming back to this gym. Cyaira was helpful and friendly!

I could not recommend Genesis more. I go to the downtown KC location and the atmosphere is incredible. The staff is so helpful—Jordan especially has gone above and beyond to make my experience here one worth leaving a 5 star review about. It’s super clean & especially if you’re not going during peak busy hours, there’s always enough equipment to use. Highly recommend to anyone deciding between gyms!

As an out of towner, this gym made finding a good place to workout on the road, very easy!Tyler G. Especially made me feel very welcomed, as if I was a long standing member already. Very refreshing.I will certainly come back when back in town and recommend this gym to friends.

Super nice gym, very clean, super modern, great employees. Tyler at the front took great care of me and my buddy. It was out first time here and we felt very welcomed. Definitely recommend!

One Life has been an amazing gym to be a part of! The experience is great due to their high quality equipment and space, they offer exciting classes and the environment is always inviting. The staff at One Life are extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and looking to help in whatever ways they can. The gym is always clean and neat, they do a great job of looking to provide the best experience possible for their members. I've worked with Jack Conrad and Kristina Strader and both went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of in regards to our membership and fitness needs/goals. Great place to be a part of!

Fantastic location in Light &Power district of KC, this gym is excellent. Wide range of clientele and equipment, and everything clean and well maintained. Tyler was Fantastic in getting me oriented and feeling welcome. You'll love this place and the staff.

I have been a member of this gym for 4 years. About 6 months ago, Genesis took over this luxury club and ran it to the ground. It is a big, beautiful faculty with great equipment…but apparently no one is managing this club anymore. It seems as if cleaning has been cut from the budget. The bathrooms are not clean, frequently not working and frequently out of tp, paper towels and soap. More than once I have had to attempt 4 soap dispensers before finding one with soap. Instead of having the necessary cleaning schedule for the high amount of traffic in the bathrooms, management has handwritten elementary style notes encouraging members to clean up after themselves.There are a few ladies who work the front desk who kindly greet members as they arrive, but for the most part the workers act like they are too good to a knowledge your presence. I don’t even know who the manager is (if there is one), but more than once I have entered the club with someone dressed like a manager behind the front desk and they did not say a thing to me. The new guy who works the front desk doesn’t even look up from his phone. After standing there for a bit today, I finally said something to get his attention…just for him to say they were out of sweat towels.Speaking of sweat towels, when Genesis took over they got rid of the quality towels and replaced them with worthless, old ratty cloths. They also only keep 2 towels and washcloths on the counter available at a time (if that). Luckily I know where they store them, so I walk around the counter to serve myself in the frequent times they are not available.In closing, this once was an amazing club, but due to the poor management of Genesis I would absolutely NOT recommend it.

This gym is great! The facility was clean, well air conditioned, and fully equip with all the gym equipment you'd want/need.As a new client I met Assistant Club Manager Tyler Gormley and he was really great. He showed me around the facility and was really helpful. The customer service here is great and everyone was really welcoming. I highly recommend this gym for everyone to go work out in.

Great downtown gym whether living in or visiting Kansas City!Great location and was happy to find such a complete gym with everything you need so close to my hotel & conference while visiting Kansas City. Wish we had one of these back home! Great weekly rate too!! Friendly staff, clean and never too crowded!!
