I actually really like this gym, and for the price it can’t be beat in my book. It is VERY spacious and it’s always clean every time I go. The equipment is very well maintained and new looking. They have a great variety of equipment, definitely all of the equipment I could ever want to workout with. The staff has always been friendly to me. Never had an issue. The only thing that could make it better is if they offered classes. But I don’t have any real complaints, it’s a great gym!

I have yet to go into a Planet Fitness that was disappointing. This one was excellent, as usual. The equipment was a bit more cramped than most locations, but it was well maintained, and I had no issues. It was interesting that the black card area had its own separate door. It gave a fun feeling of exclusivity. Of course, my disappointment at all planet fitness locations is with the limitations on weight available. I really wish the equipment could go heavier.

Pros: Clean! 24 hour establishmentCons: This location is nothing like the other location I was working out at. Several people at this location cannot understand that some people actually enjoy working out longer than 20-30 min. In addition some staff and members seem judgmental towards those who are in shape or fairly in shape, and simply just want to workout, not there for socializing. Too many minors at this location and the place seems comparable to a neighborhood Recreational Center! Too much social activity at this location, which can eventually cause problems. Not to mention people stare at you, the male members/staff want you to pay them attention, and hold conversation instead of working out. Sorry just being honest. Unfortunately this is the nearest location since "We" moved. Can't wait until my 3 months is over so I can transfer to another gym.

Love this place. Clean, new machines, friendly staff. What would make it perfect and 5 stars is if the staff made sure people used the 30 minute rotation area correctly. Many times I go in there and I can't do how it was intended because people are just sitting on the same machine and not moving to the next.

I use to go to planet fitness in Hammond Indiana so I decided to try this one out here in Lansing. The staff in Hammond is so much nicer than Lansing. Hammond also cleans there equipment. The Lansing staff needs to be trained on customer service. The staff never says hello it's like everyone has attitudes. The equipment is dusty. There is always trash on the floor. I'm very disappointed at this location

I just signed up and this is my second day and the front desk person is no where to be found trash everywhere a dirty mop bucket in the middle of the showers I’ve been here for almost two hours waiting for him to appear so I can use the massage chair that I pay to use every month the phones are going off and no one here to answer them then I walk in to see if I can do it myself and the is a man sleeping in the bed. This is ridiculous every one is standing around awaiting for him to appear I expect better planet fitness

I have been to almost every planet fitness in the south suburbs including Northern West Indiana and this is by far the worst planet fitness I've ever experienced. I cannot blame it all on the staff, even though their terrible. The patrons are as much as at fault. When guests can't can't seem to find a garbage can to throw away candie wrappers, get rid of it. Weights are left everywhere, I've seen people trip over them trying to use equipment. Again, staff should not have to constantly baby sit and follow after patrons putting away the equipment they've just used. But at any given moment there's 4 to 5 staff members sitting at the front desk socializing when there is clearly things that need to be taken care of. Locker rooms are constantly filthy and stink terribly of body odor. Only good things about this place is the newer equipment. But even these seem to be constantly broken or missing parts that the patrons have stolen. Oh and I've noticed several lockers have been broken into also. Smh

I went there yesterday for quick workout. It was my first time there. I was very anxious to see it, since it opened recently. The equipment is new and facility is pretty clean. The staff was pretty friendly ( but I trouble getting clear directions from one of the them. I wanted a get a massage bed and he almost sent me to the wrong bed. Not a biggie but it was a problem). Plenty of TV sets but the locker room was small. Big pluses are, it's 24/7 and it's located near a highway.

Had to write this letter a moment ago. Do not go here!!!Good afternoon. I just exited the new Planet Fitness that is in Lansing IL on Torrence Ave. I intended to view the facility and requested a visitor's pass to workout and get a feel for the place. The current receptionist was not at all welcoming. No smile or common courtesy in her speech. She demanded that I completely fill out a sheet(including my whole birthday) just to walk around to see if I did want to sign up. She rudely informed me that this was mandatory. Additionally, I know she has no control over a pass for one day to see if this place was a good fit, but $20 is ridiculous. I had full intentions on joining tomorrow, and I will not be signing up at any of your locations because of the way I was treated at your front desk. After searching online to make a complaint I discovered there was a free one day pass for the location...they could have easily told me about this. The young lady's name is Jasmine and she claims to be the general manager at this location. This is plain old bad business.

Ok so far. Really newer place. New style equipment. Cool treadmills and pull up gym thing aka 360. Friendly staff and work out people. Even have a personal trainer in evenings. They have special food days that is if they place the order. :(People you got issues call into corp make your voice heard they don't read these. Takes minutes.Place has no cleaning staff. (look at the pictures) Other members are complaining. Locker rooms floors are full of trash, employees sit around at the desk all the time in the evenings and night. Get off your dang phone and actually work. Three people to sit around really ? Windows and mirrors inside seem to never cleaned. You have look around to find towels to wipe the machines off as they are never replaced by staff. Hard to change in the locker rooms if the floors are nasty.Forget if it rains and floors get wet inside. Staff wont mop it just just throw a card boardbox over the wetfloor mats. So it gets everywhere. just like the salt.Really 24/7 unlike Hammond which is cleaned daily. Even Around the Clock is 24/7 next door. Oddly Google map shows the alley back door as the business it's in Walmart's lot if you get confused. Fyi Walamrt is open late.Seen decent amount of others working out never wiping down equipment after use though. Other PF's I used never was an issue. Like them to maybe try a sign at the front desk reminding people ?
