State of Fitness provides a great opportunity to get moving and stay healthy. The trainers are knowledgeable and challenge you while the other members are a supportive community. Love it!

Over the past 11 months I've trained with SOF trainers in Group Training, conditioning, foundations, and "roll and stretch." I'm older than most of the others that train at this location and have some injuries that keep me from performing some of the exercises which others can do. Yet, the excellent and knowledgeable staff adapt the programs so that it fits your needs. Not only am I stronger than last November when I started, I'm healthier as well. There is an excellent balance between the "old" and the "new" as far as techniques and equipment are concerned and the staff work with you no matter your fitness level or ability. As one who remembers the ominous "gym rats" of the 70's and 80's, State of Fitness is a refreshing "real world" approach that I heartily recommend. I look forward to the next year---and beyond. If you are looking for a place to get healthier and stronger in the greater Lansing area, you should really go give them a look. Seriously. Tell them the "old guy" sent you (it's ok. I don't mind). Become Healthy. Become Strong. They can help you do it.

I was a member of State of Fitness years ago. I loved it then. I recently re-joined and have not once regretted that decision. State of Fitness has such a welcoming, professional, and friendly atmosphere, and the trainers are THE BEST. I love this place even more the second time around.

I have had the pleasure of training with Justin Grinnell for over 10 years!Justin truly cares about his clients and takes the time to interview each individual so he knows their story and dedicates his time and energy to providing a healthy and results-based experience. His blogs are tailored to reach everyone in his audience.I can't tell you how many times I have read a tip, a recipe or an exercise/nutrition antidote where I am inspired and learn something new to apply to my daily workout or nutrition regimen.State of Fitness is a unique and fun experience. It is the best facility I have ever attended.The trainers are detailed in their instruction for everyone in class.The state-of-the-art facility has a camaraderie among its members, positive energy that greets you at the door, a comprehensive and challenging one-to-one or group training experience that is enjoyable - and the results are outstanding.Justin has taught me to be consistent, make small goals and tackle them one a a time!The 21 day challenge I participated in over a year ago, resulted in me cutting out drinking soda, increasing my water intake daily and having optimal energy levels for work and the gym!I encourage you to make an appointment with Justin to reach your personal goals and experience a long-term wellness plan.

I absolutely Love The State of Fitness Gym. I go 5-6 mornings a wk. and work out every day with a different personal, very knowledgable trainer.I am 62 years old and feel the best i have ever felt and have no problem keeping up with the youngster at the gym!!! I actually miss the gym when I'm not in town!

Great experience day in and day out. The staff has a wealth of knowledge on all components of health, not just how to lift a dumbbell. Every member is treated as an individual, and workouts are tailored to suit your needs. No gimmicks, no short cuts, just hard work and dedication. I look forward to every single session.

I have been a member at State Of Fitness for a few years. I can't say enough positive things! The trainers are highly educated and help to make sure you are doing the exercises correctly. Along with getting an amazing workout, being around motivated individuals is inspiring! Do a 30 day trial to see and feel the difference. I guarantee you won't want to leave!

Started here because of early classes, but stay because of the people. The trainers will help you set and attain goals, adapt exercises for recovery or to keep from making injuries worse, know about nutrition and are always supportive. The staff is always friendly (I can never figure out how they learn so many names so quickly) and the facility is really clean. All the members are like one big neighborhood, rooting for each other and taking part in member activities. Love it!

State of Fitness is a top-notch facility with highly educated staff that truly care about their clients. I have been taking group classes for almost a year and personal training sessions for almost 7 months, and I must say that I am addicted! The classes are intense, yet enjoyable, and the trainers have your back 100%. Thank you JSOF for all that you've done for me!

I've been an SoF member for about a year and a half now, and I can't imagine going anywhere else. The trainers and staff are amazing (seriously, everyone here really does know your name), and the workouts are top notch.The trainers are so good at pushing you to do your best and surpass your goals. I think my favorite thing is that you get different tips and tools from each trainer, too--every time I do an exercise, even one I've done many times, I come away with a new personal best or an improvement in form or function. They are pricey, but it's honestly worth it.
