State of Fitness is the gym I never knew I wanted. It's welcoming and comfortable - from the minute you walk in the door, someone is there to greet you professionally and pleasantly. This is not your typical "gym" with endless rows of cardio machines. Rather, it is a wonderful fitness facility with committed staff and well-educated trainers who want only for you to succeed. The small group training sessions really allow you to focus on building strength, improving your techniques, whatever your goals are. Conditioning classes are fun, engaging, and motivating. The membership engagement events, bring-a-friend workouts, FB challenges, etc. show the level of commitment to you as a client, not just someone who is there to work out and move on. I love the sense of teamwork at SOF and the opportunity to meet with a trainer once a month to re-evaluate my health and fitness goals and progress. Try them out for 30 days - you won't regret it!

I have been a member at State of Fitness for a little over two years and just recently ended my membership because of a move. Going to State of Fitness was my favorite way to start each day because of their top-notch customer service, immaculately clean facility, and friendly member community. The trainers are all highly qualified and will modify and adapt workouts for all levels. East Lansing is truly lucky to have such a fantastic facility like State of Fitness!

State of Fitness is beyond the best gym I have ever belonged to. The trainers are friendly, kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable of excercise and nutrition alike. They really care about their clients. I have been a member of State of Fitness since 2010. I love my gym! The atmosphere is welcoming and the staff and trainers are the best. There is a comfort level I have never experienced at other gyms. SOF goes beyond training to help with food planning, etc. to encourage a healthy lifestyle beyond the gym. Highly recommend.

State of Fitness is the best gym ever! I joined over six years ago and it has changed my life for the better. I've lost over 100 pounds, gained a ton of strength and have met some of the greatest people & lifelong friends. The trainers are extremely knowledgeable and the entire staff and members are all so encouraging and supportive. We are truly a unique community of people trying to live a healthy lifestyle. Everyone here is very supportive of all different fitness goals. I stop through for a week about once a year and they remember who I am each time. Very personalized feel and always very clean.

This gym has a very fun and versatile training environment. I personally have an extensive training background from running marathons to power lifting. Even so, I still learned some new tips from the well-trained staff. If nothing else, the group environment was astonishing. Training with others in small groups created a sense of teamwork and competition. I always rave about this gym to my friends and family!
