Crunch Fitness - Lawrence

Quickly turning into THE gym for Lawrence. Very clean. Plenty of space and equipment. Locker room has always been tidy. Sauna is a nice free feature. Great starting price.

I've been going to the gym since they opened and working with Jesse the trainer for over a year. I love it there. Everybody is friendly and make you feel comfortable being there. They're all easy to talk to and not as intimidating as they may seem.

Joined 3 weeks ago, very clean, friendly staff. Love the classes they offer. I started training with a personal trainer 2 weeks ago, it's kicking my butt, but it feels so good to be working out again & the trainers are very knowledgeable & keep you motivated!

You can tell this is a new gym by how clean and new the machines are and how nice the sauna is still but that's just about where the gym peaks. I go to planet fitness normally but decided to try crunch out and see if it is worth it but I would say definitely not. While the gym has a very large open floor plan you feel like you are always going to bump into something because of how close all the machines and benches are to each other. The hit training area that seemed the most interesting to me but you can barely make use of the equipment because everyone uses it as a stretching and dumbbells workout area. Good luck with finding a place to workout as well since it is always very busy and most of the machines will be taken. People never took their weights off of the bench racks so you never know if they were in use or not and plates were never really put back properly. All and all this is a much better gym then Genesis but only worth it if you want to use the sauna and child care.This is an edit to my review from last year. I decided to try out this gym one last time and I can easily say I will never be back at this gym. They say they are limiting capacity of people for covid protocols but they do not enforce mask usage and no one wears their mask properly. The cardio machines are not spaced but they block off every other but that is where the social distancing ends. The weights are was completely packed with groups of people around every machine. The gym was very full with lots of people inside the locker without masks and made it difficult to keep your distance from others. I never actually got a chance to use any weight equipment because everything was taken or surrounded with other groups of people from nearby machines. If you see this stay away for your own safety.

At first I would have rated this much higher. The staff is friendly, the equipment is clean and the 24/7 access is nice. However, back in February of this year, they wrongfully charged me 240$ for personal training that I didn’t sign up for. I did personal training a few times, but my trainer left. I am a disabled combat veteran and sue to health issues and possible surgery I had to stop attending the gym. A few months after that is when I got the charge for 240$. It is now 9 months later and I still have yet to be refunded. Every time I call I get told it’s being processed or the manager isn’t here and they will call you by end of the week. I didn’t want to write this, but people need to know how shady it is that this company would steal money from a disabled combat veteran. I’m tired of being told a manager will call you tomorrow and then no one ever calls. Only people I’ve had call recently have been two trainers trying to get me to sign up for sessions. I fear that if I hadn’t canceled my membership already, they might have tried to take another 240$ from me. I will never be going back and my veteran brothers and sisters are sharing my story.

For the price the gym is constantly being maintained and offers updated equipment and a nice sauna! The staff is always friendly and also keeping the place clean! When equipment breaks they get it fixed in an acceptable amount of time. I've been to others gyms and so far this one has them beat!! I'll be glad when the hours go back to 24hrs, but I do understand the guidelines during this time.

Cheap monthly membership, with awesome perks? Sign me up anytime!And a very diverse selection of free weights, machines, and post-workout things (hydro therapy, among other things) to help your body recuperate.All make this place one worth your time and money, not to mention making yourself healthier & better 👍

I’ve been going for a few months now both in the morning and the evening. The staff is great and I rarely have to wait for a bench or a weight rack.The Fit3D machine has been super helpful for tracking progress. The amount of information is gives you about yourself is also convenient for clothing measurements and posture wellness.

Joining Crunch was one of the best decisions I've made for my health. Crunch offers weights, cardio equipment, Spin classes, and numerous types of group fitness classes all at an affordable price. The classes are fantastic, there is always a locker free to store my items during my workout, the gym is clean, and the staff are very friendly greeting you when you come and leave. I also highly recommend investing in a personal trainer here if you are like me and didn't know how to properly use any of the equipment and in need of a push towards great health!The only downsides: small parking lot, only one water fountain, and right next to Freddy's (which always smells tempting after an afterwork workout).

Lawrence Crunch is a great gym! The attitude and sense of positivity in this gym is awesome. No matter who is at the front desk, they are super cheerful and ready to help you. I think this kind of attitude has spread throughout the gym because everyone seems to be in a good mood.There's a wide range of people working out, from those just starting their fitness journey (or, like me, starting again after 5 years and 50lbs), to those who look like they are professionals. Regardless, there's no judging, and space for everyone.The machines are taken care of, people wipe down after they are done and weights aren't left laying around the gym. The mid level membership grants you access to the hydro massage (great after a workout) or the tanning booths.Overall, the vibe here is very cool, very positive. I know this will be my gym until I leave Lawrence.
