I love Genesis. I have had a membership for 3 years now. longest gym membership I have had. great low price with just as good as an experience compared to an expensive membership, such as lifetime fitness. Genesis be the OG

Great place to lift, no fluff just a clean fun place to workout and be at. The sauna is great and weights are kept clean. Staff is always nice and issues they help out.

Staff at this location are wonderful and so welcoming! They are always so engaging and make coming to the gym such a better experience! The gym is always clean and well kept!

Genesis South has been a reliable gym for me in Lawrence. I especially appreciate the option to pause and resume my account, which is helpful, since I go to college out of state and return to Lawrence for breaks.

Based on reviews, I was very hesitant about joining Genesis. I took a chance on the south location since there are so many bad reviews about Chaz. First, let me say, Andre and Scott are just great. Unfortunately, Noah (the manager) is unprofessional and irresponsible. He would not return my phone call even though he was there. Next, he agreed to meet with my husband. My husband arrived at the scheduled time but, Noah decided to disappear to Hy-Vee for a snack and left him to wait. After about 30 minutes, my husband noticed that Noah had come in through the back door and was sitting in his office. Leaving him still waiting. Noah just smirked when it was mentioned that it is unprofessional and irresponsible to set an appointment and then leave. Andre and Scott are lovely. Too bad Noah had to ruin it for them. I'm going out in a limb here, but I don't think Genesis really cares. Otherwise, I think there would have been measures taken to address the problem. Cancelled due only to Noah's behavior.

Best gym in town, very friendly and helpful staff since day one. Highly recommend switching to Genesis if you're wanting to get through your workouts without interruption.

I've been to a few Genesis Gyms in Johnson Co. & the Lawrence area. SoLaw is my favorite! Staff are super nice. The equipment is always clean.

This Genesis is the best gym in Lawrence. If you want to feel like you’re apart of a community and attend events that are actually fun this is the place to go. The operations manager, Moriah is so kind and willing to help with everything. I love the good energy and can’t recommend this place enough!

This genesis has been amazing for the 8+ months I’ve been coming here. Machines are available, workout areas/locker rooms/cardio areas are always very clean, and staff is always so friendly! I live on the complete opposite side of town but have enjoyed this Genesis so much compared to other gyms in town that it’s always worth the drive!
