Bad experience just going in to price and explore what is offered at the mma gym. I'm interested in kickboxing one to two times a week as i do acrobatic yoga other days. I have done boxing and kickboxing for a year and a half in SLC and more recently Clearfield at what the owner called a mom boxing gym. Basically told if you are looking at other gyms I don't need you, I have plenty of fighters as those gyms are training the opponents in the ring. To be clear-I'm not getting in the ring, i just love martial arts. Just pricing and looking at schedules that work with my work schedule. Also told doing kickboxing once a week is a waste of time. The approach felt unwelcoming. No thank you.

Great little MMA gym. I'm an almost 40 year old adult who has been to several MMA gyms in the past. Getting back into things I wanted to try a new gym and researched just about every gym in the Weber/Davis county areas. One Hit seemed to be the right fit for what I was looking for. I did one trial class and afterwards signed up for a 3 month membership. I could tell right away I was in the right spot. For the adult striking classes, everyone in the classes seems to be pretty legit and all the guys have a high skill level. Even as someone who has lots of previous experience it was a little intimidating sparring with a bunch of skilled dudes, many of whom are also bigger/stonger than me. But everyone there was super cool, respectful, and welcoming. Fighting is a rough and tough sport, I don't feel like anyone is getting babied at this gym, but everyone seems to genuinely want to help each other, no gym bullies, which can be a problem at some gyms. Aldo, the owner, and all of the staff I've dealt with are nice, genuine, and helpful.

I’ve been at this gym for just over a month now and I couldn’t be more grateful for the atmosphere and people here. I was hesitant to join a gym like this especially being a queer woman and not knowing what to expect but I have never felt more welcomed and accepted than here. Along with that, it is a very clean and well maintained gym with some great coaches.

I love learning from Brazil’s two-time National champion, Aldo Oreggia, and feel fortunate to train with someone with those kinds of professional credentials!I‘ve been training with Aldo for about a year now, and look forward to training with him for many years to come!Aldo is also one of the nicest guys you‘ll ever meet and has an awesome sense of humor!A person would be hard-pressed to find his equal!I highly recommend Aldo and One Hit MMA to anyone and everyone! A person just can‘t go wrong training there!!👍
